I heard at work today that the FDA says no more selling of red rice yeast

You may have already heard this but I work at a health food store and

we got a call from Tree Of Life who told us that the FDA has now

classified Red Rice Yeast as a drug and is now telling manufactures

that they can no longer distribute this supplement. It's being pulled

from the market. Apparently, the makers of Liptor use red rice yeast

in its formula

 

(Mod. Note: Not so, but drug is chemically similar and patterned after red rice

yeast)

 

and so of course since the supplement works and is

cheaper then this poison the Dr's prescribe the FDA has banned it.

Canada just did this to red rice yeast in May of 2006 too....
