And the FDA evidently are not giving out a list - they do suggest that people check the ingredients when they buy any products. Below are a few things this chemical is in, but this is only a partial list -- there are many many others. Strokes and seizures are only two of the symptoms it causes. This proposed rule reclassifies phenylpropanolamine as nonmonograph (Category II) not generally recognized as safe and effective. It has been linked to increased hemorrhagic stroke (bleeding in brain) among women ages 18-49 in the three days after starting use of medication. Problems were not found in men, but the FDA recommended that everyone (even children) seek alternative Medicine.
