Hello Rita and everyone, My name is Dr. Lane Scott, PhD [immunology, emergency medicine, neuroscientist and medical research. San Jose, CA]. Recently I was called upon to assist in the identification of a patient with – according to medical research available may have the classics of Morgellons Disease [awaiting laboratory results]. We were able to remove some of the organisms from soft tissue and although we do not have a definitive classification as of today, we soon will and we do believe there are others with a similar condition that are in need of help. Diagnosing Morgellons disease first requires an experienced microbiologist and equipment to really see what they are looking at. Unfortunately doctors may not understand the pathology of Morgellons disease and therefore may not be ready to identify with the patient from a lack of data - so they may not know where to begin. At present we have two known patients: One with some very interesting " organisms " which are characteristic of the Photorhabdus Luminescens bacterial parasite, etc. We are in the process of studying these parasitic specimens in the laboratory in order to make a proper identification. As soon as we can find out I will let you know what we have found in hopes that it will be helpful for others. While we are investigating these " entities " I would like to offer help to others that may have signs / symptoms of similar conditions. My office is in San Jose, CA. We have treated some of the symptoms / side effects of Morgellons disease and although we are still investigating the " Why's " of this condition we believe it is NOT a condition of " Delusional parasitosis " but rather a real physical issue and we are determined to help find solutions. The Photorhabdus Luminescens can be isolated and identified in a clinical bacteriology laboratory. I will list one of these laboratories. A US Laboratory that knows the Photorhabdus L. is: US Department of Agriculture, Henry A. Wallace Beltsville Agriculture Research Center Beltsville' MD Tel: 301-504-5689 For more information please contact me here in this or email; I am here to help find a solution to the symptoms brought on by this unexpected – and unwanted - organism. I wish all of you the best of health. Thanks. Lane Scott, PhD drlanescott
