Hi, in search of a pen pal

Hello, my name is Kelly. I am a 38 year old female with two kids,

living in northwestern Pa. I am a little more than bored in my small

town so I am trying to meet friends of all kinds, male or female,

whether they live near me or not. I would love to talk or write with

someone who has the same interests as I do. I love astrology, poetry,

and I love reading about natural healing methods (alternative

medicine). I oil paint and I have a book of poetry that I am refining

so that I can get it published.

 

On a personal level, I would love to make a sensitive friend who is as

quirky and eccentric as I am. A weight loss buddy would be great too.

I have to lose about 50 pounds and I would love to be healthier, as I

suffer on and off from lupus-type symptoms as well as depression and

anxiety. I am a loyal friend and would do almost anything for someone

I care about. I'm working on my sensitivity and self-esteem as I've

had a hard childhood, so I would like a friend who is empathic and

understanding or at least, who tries. I'm trying to be on the computer

less so I'd like to have 'snail-mail' penpals. I even picked up a post

office box for this reason.

 

I don't really have a set religion but I like some of the things that

Buddhism entails and because I do believe in astrology (I'm a virgo),

I do believe in some type of lesson-learning and continuation. I try

to 'live my religion', if that makes sense. I try to help people and

live by the " do unto others " motto. Politically, I suppose I lean

toward liberalism or democracy. I am not too happy about the war in Iraq.

 

Some of my short term goals include finishing a series of oil

paintings and traveling, even if it's just to Ohio! I'd love to go to

California or Florida.
