Guest guest
Coreen, I went through this and it was just menopause and nothing more. It was terrible but it ended. I also take the bio-identical natural hormones (soy and wild yam). You need a prescription and a compounding pharmacy but this helps with hot flashs. I stopped taking Prempro because of the stroke danger and immediately went on the Bio-identicals...they work just fine. You can check with your gyno but this bleeding goes with menopause...Lynn Koiner - coreen edgett Friday, August 18, 2006 8:26 AM New Hello, I am new to this group and am going to start off right away and ask a question. I am 43 years old and have been on birth control pills off and on most of my adult life. With a couple of breaks in between. I have been off of them since early last year. My husband had a vasectomy. I thought that it would be good for my body since I am getting older and it is not good for you. The risks that is. My doctor wanted me to stay on them, she says it is better for women when they start getting into premenapause. I do not know what I am right now...my problem has been recent. My last period was 2 weeks long. It started a week late as it is and the first week was dark tarry looking clots and that was it. Not heavy. The second week was regular for me, heavy bleeding and regular. The other change was it was with a heavy clear mucus. Does this sound like anything any one has gone through. I am making a doctors appointment, but would like to know if anyone else has had this. I have not had sex frequently and only with my husband so it is not STD's or anything like that. Do not know if I should be worried~! Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. care
