Guest guest
Re: Depression... Christina, I'm brand new too. I noticed your post and felt I needed to respond. In the past I too have had some bouts of depression, nothing too serious, but usually after stressful situations, I would come down being depressed. Some depression is a normal emotion to feel (if in moderation). It is crucial to our survival, providing it does not overwhelm our lives. Over the past few months I have been completely 'FREE of depression' and anxiety, even after some very stressful situations. After reading an article on the Web and a major but simple life change I now feel free again. What I did was completely eliminated fluoride from my life. Fluoride is an enzyme inhibitor. Studies have shown links to bipolar disorder, and other mental problems in people that have fluoride in their systems, even in small amounts. How it's done: First, start with a quality FLUORIDE-FREE toothpaste, and use nothing but. You can get this at most good health food stores. While your at it, try to find one without sodium-laurel- sulfate, and sacharin, two other dangers. Read the fine print, some/most " so called " natural toothpastes contain fluoride. Don't worry about your teeth rotting out of your mouth when you go off the fluoride, recent studies have shown that children who were on fluoride averaged the same amount of cavities as the ones who had no fluoride. Also avoid mouth wash that may contain fluoride, and take no fluordide treatments from the dentist. Second, buy gallons of distilled water, refrigerate them, and drink only this, and a lot of it. City water is loaded with fluoride and it does not filter out, so other bottled waters, even the expensive ones, are basically filter tap water, most likely have fluoride in them as well, as does, soda, and other soft drinks, coffees, teas, etc. Bring distilled water with you in a sports bottle when you go out, even put a little lemon in it if you'd like. Also, iced teas, and other soft drinks you can make yourself using distilled water to avoid the fluoride in the commercial products. And remember if you have city water, to make sure you use the distilled water when brushing your teeth as well, along with the fluoride-free toothpaste. You can buy a quality distilled water for about 65 cents per gallon. Search the net, and this forum for more info regarding the dangers fluoride, you'll be glad you did. Eliminating fluoride and working on yourself by reading some good books on self-help/motivation is a good start to ridding yourself of depression. Best of luck to you.
