eople we need to keep a real close eye on this issue. If this goes

ahead we absolutely cannot eat these foods. Flouride is an extreme

poison that has been foisted on us by the Government and vested

interests in spite of the thousands of investigations that have proved

it to be very deleterious to health.

Flouride's affects at the limits of 4ppm which is the allowable limit

in drinking water have been well documented. What is propsed as a

fumigator for foods is 70ppm. Do the math....

The Issue at hand...

In a November 28, 2005 letter to Dow AgroSciences, Maureen Serafini,, NYS Bureau of Pesticides, approved sulfuryl fluoride

(ProFume®) fumigant on all processed foods and a large number of raw

food commodities in New York. These are the foods most Americans eat.

In response, FAN's Pesticide Project Director, Ellen Connett,

requested Director Serafini to revoke this approval.

 

Because sulfuryl fluoride breaks down to fluoride in the human body,

fluoride is the endpoint of toxicological concern. In their approval,

EPA approved the highest levels of fluoride residues in food in US

history. Fluoride is persistent and bio-accumulates in the human body.

Inhalation tests with all animal species exposed to sulfuryl fluoride

revealed severe harm to the brain. Of particular concern was the

finding of holes (vacuolation) in the white matter of the brain, and

an abnormal softening (malacia) and cell death (necrosis) of brain tissue.

Fluorides have been used to modify behavior and mood of human beings.

It is a little known fact that fluoride compounds were added to the

drinking water of prisoners to keep them docile and inhibit

questioning of authority, both in Nazi prison camps in World War II

and in the Soviet gulags in Siberia.

Fluorides are medically categorized as protoplasmic poisons, which is

why they are used to kill rodents.

been a prisoner of war during WWII) in a letter printed in The

Catholic Mirror, Springfield, MA, January 1952:

Keep in mind that what was proposed at that time was water

flouridation at 1ppm---what is being proposed now is 70ppm, and as it

would be in foods, entirely unavoidable once these substances were

The Flouride Conspiracy

Farben had developed plans during the war to fluoridate the occupied

countries because it was found that fluoridation caused slight damage

to a specific part of the brain, making it more difficult for the

person affected to defend his freedom and causing the individual to

become more docile towards authority. Fluoride remains one of the

strongest anti-psychotic substances known, and is contained in

twenty-five percent of the major tranquilizers. It may not seem

surprising that Hitler's regime practiced the concept of mind control

through chemical means, but the American military continued Nazi

research, exploring techniques to incapacitate an enemy or medicate an

entire nation. As stated in the Rockerfeller Report, a Presidential

briefing on CIA activities, " the drug program was part of a much

larger CIA program to study possible means of controlling human

behavior " (Stephen 1995).

At the end of World War II, the US government sent Charles Eliot

Perkins, a research worker in chemistry, biochemistry, physiology and

pathology, to take charge of the vast Farben chemical plants in

Germany. The German chemists told Perkins of a scheme which they had

devised during the war and had been adapted by the German General

Staff. The German chemists explained of their attempt to control the

population in any given area through the mass medication of drinking

water with sodium fluoride, a tactic used in German and Russian

prisoner of war camps to make the prisoners " stupid and

letter that the EPA Union, which represents professionals at the EPA

HQ in DC, has sent to their " boss " Mr. Stephen Johnson on the sulfuryl

fluoride issue.

 

They are joining FAN, EWG, Beyond Pesticides and the Organic Consumers

Asscoaition in calling for a " stay " on EPA's approval of sulfuryl

fluoride for use as a fumigant on food.

 

If you haven't done so already please add your voice in support of

this effort to stop the further contamination of our food supply with

Dear Administrator Johnson:

 

I am writing at the direction of the Executive Board of

Chapter 280, National Treasury Employees Union, representing the

professional employees here at headquarters of the U.S. Environmental

Protection Agency.

 

The Board asked me to write to you about our concern that the

Agency is setting itself - and by implication its employees - up for

further embarrassment over the increased tolerance levels for fluoride

on food stuffs. These increased tolerances come in connection with the

use of sulfuryl fluoride as a fumigant, replacing methyl bromide in

this application.

 

The increased tolerances have been supported by the Agency by

reference to another standard set by the Agency, namely its Maximum

Contaminant Level Goal (MCLG) for fluoride in drinking water, which is

currently 4 milligrams per liter (4 mg/L). As you know, the National

Research Council has very recently submitted a report to EPA stating

that the 4 mg/L MCLG, a health-based standard, is not in fact

protective of public health. For EPA to base tolerances for fluoride

in foods, especially for foods to be consumed by infants and children

who fall under the protection of the Food Quality Protection Act,

flies in the face of both law and scientific integrity.

We sincerely hope that you will rescind the approval of

sulfuryl fluoride as a food stuffs fumigant and the concomitant

increased tolerances for residual fluoride on the foods. The Agency

can cite the NRC report as the basis for this action, thus minimizing

any further embarrassment to itself and the professional staff.

Despite the fact that Americans are already being over-exposed to

fluoride, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has recently given

approval to DOW AgroSciences to add a new fluoride pesticide (sulfuryl

fluoride) to hundreds of foods in the US. Sign the petition asking EPA

to end the use of sulfuryl fluoride on food.

nationwide moratorium on water fluoridation before, and until, a

Write a letter to your local newspaper

Writing a letter to your local newspaper is an invaluable way of

informing your community of the health and ethical concerns

surrounding water fluoridation. Let the readers of your favorite paper

know that there is no need to swallow fluoride; that the FDA has never

approved any fluoride product designed to be ingested; that fluoride

is the only chemical added to water that does not treat the water

itself; that 98% of western Europe has rejected water fluoridation;

that the fluoride chemical used for fluoridation is an unprocessed

industrial waste product; that most people are already receiving too

much fluoride from their toothpaste and diets; that recent research

has linked fluoride to serious health problems including arthritis,

hip fracture, alzheimers disease, and cancer; and that readers can

Ask your local bookstore/library to carry " The Fluoride Deception "

In May of 2004, the much-anticipated book The Fluoride Deception by

Chris Bryson was released. The book, published by Seven Stories Press,

is an eye-opening, page-turning, and meticulously researched expose of

the history and politics of fluoride. A must read for anyone

interested in fluoride issues. Order a copy for yourself and request

Tell your friends and family

There should be no underestimating the power of word-of-mouth

communication. Tell your friends and family about what you have

learned concerning fluoride. Let them know that the benefits have been

greatly exaggerated and the risks ignored; that the vast majority of

western Europe has rejected water fluoridation and yet has experienced

the same decline in tooth decay as the US; that the scientists and

professionals at EPA's Headquarters Union in Washington DC have

recently called for a " national moratorium " on fluoridation; and that

more than 70 US communities have rejected fluoridation since 1999. Let

them also know about the Fluoride Action Network!

Find out if your own community's water is fluoridated

Call up your local water utility or your local Department of Health

and ask if your community adds fluoride to the water. If it does

fluoridate, write a letter to the paper, tell your friends, start a

group, and start thinking of creative and effective ways to inform

your community about the unnecessary hazards posed by water fluoridation.

Begin a Ballot Initiative in Your Town

One way of stopping fluoridation in your town is to start a petition

drive to get the issue of water fluoridation on the local ballot. For

unfluoridated areas, this can be an effective means of ensuring that

fluoridation never begins in your area. Sample ballot initiatives --

used successfully by various communities across the United States --

can be accessed online at the following website.

Ask your local grocery stores to provide a non-fluoride toothpaste

alternative

Many grocery stores and pharmacies these days only carry fluoridated

toothpastes. This in turn deprives many consumers of the choice to not

use fluoride.
