Guest guest
Hello out there; I am new to this site and need some help . I think I am rapidly dying at the age of 36 . I believe that I damaged my digestion system badly from excessive alcohol and severe depression over about a year and a halves worth of time . This was due to a heartbreaking divorce where my now x-wife left me after 12yrs and 3 children to go and be with my older brother . I have now quit drinking and even coffee and am trying to get better but my health keeps getting worse . I'm not really depressed anymore other than my poor health . My x-wife is finally out of my system . I am trying to cure candida and leaky gut . Alcohol and depression I am sure caused it . My questions are : 1.) Can I take probiotics and candida curing herbs effectively at the same time without killing off the probiotics ? 2.) Whats the deal with the recommendation for extra fiber in this healing proccess / I've recently purchased some metamucil fiber powder and just alittle caused severe bloating and constipation / Part of the candida healing proccess is suppose to be being regular, not bloated and constipated . I guess I do not understand the fiber recommendation ??? 3.) Can to much candida killing herbs hurt the liver ? / How much is to much ? Well if nobody out there is really sure of the answers to these questions, would you please forward them to anyone you may know who could help me . I really need help with this . Thanks so much and God Bless . Alternate e-mail is kmm5 . Korey
Guest guest
Korey, From what I have read, just in passing, the two are related. It should be possible to at least partially treat them together. Also, because of the heavy drinking, you should look into milk thistle because you have probably done some serious damage to your liver, and your liver is necessary for removing toxins from your body, you might be able to cure these other diseases, but if you can't effectively remove the toxins from your system, you are just leaving yourself open to repeat infections... These are long, but you should read all these articles. They give diet, supplement, herbs and physical activities that will help. One of the two probably caused the other, look for treatments that match between the two articles. (Garlic is one) The links within the articles will give you more info on a lot of the herbs and supplements recommended. A couple of weeks ago, I posted a list of sites that let you search for info by ailment...you might want to check the message archives, if you can't find it, (and you can recieve attachments) e-mail me off list (please mention this group in the subject so that I can find it in my junk mail folder) and I will send you the document. But start here, it will give you a lot of info to process, and a some additional leads on treatments... http://www.herbs2000.com/disorders/candidiasis.htm http://www.herbs2000.com/disorders/leaky_gut_syndrome.htm this one is about liver disease... http://www.herbs2000.com/disorders/liver_probl.htm Cynthia , " mondaevu555 " <mondaevu555 wrote: > > Hello out there; > > I am new to this site and need some help . Guest guest
Hello, I think you might also be suffering from celiacs disease. You should check with a doctor regarding this possibility. I was anemic and suffering from leaking gut and I felt twenty to thirty years older than I am. I had depression and joint pain too. Celiacs can cause that! Try to eliminate all wheat, rye and barley. No bread or pasta unless it's wheat free. No beer, that was tough for me but celiacs robs you of your energy and feeling drained all of the time is horrible! Celiacs is also a very common allegy and UNDER DIAGNOSED! Wiseguy --- mondaevu555 <mondaevu555 wrote: > Hello out there; > > I am new to this site and need some help . Guest guest
May suggest to you that you go and see a Classical Homeopath to help you on your road to healing yourself. Or an Holistic Dr who will address each symptom and issue you have individually as it presents and treat the WHOLE body. It is a long process so don't expect a quick fix. I have been seeing my Holistic Dr for 2 years now and only now can I say I am close to being fully healthy once more. Initially your journey to health will be 2 steps forward - 1 step back, and you will probably suffer a steback or 2 as your body re-adjusts but DO NOT GIVE UP, you will succeed and your life and your body will thank you for it. huggs Lyndall - " mondaevu555 " <mondaevu555 Sunday, July 30, 2006 2:17 AM candida / leaky gut Hello out there; I am new to this site and need some help . Guest guest
Korey, I'm so sorry to hear about your situation but I do believe that everything happens for a reason and there is probably something much better out there for you. I also have suffered from the same thing and you really learn a lot about your health and many other things about yourself when your sick. Including really finding out who you are and your higher consciousness is. Metamucil is not a good choice because it has sugar in it and even some artificial sweeteners in it too. I would use an herbal laxative that is very gentle called Aloe Caraco, or a mixture of these and Senna, and cascara segrada. I would recommend Vitratox products. This will help flushing your system of this in your gut and then I switched to an almost all RAW food diet. This cures just about any condition you can have. Blessings, Sare mondaevu555 <mondaevu555 wrote: Hello out there; I am new to this site and need some help . I think I am rapidly dying at the age of 36 . Thanks so much and God Bless . Alternate e-mail is > kmm5 . > > Korey > Hi Korey, I think you will find that fiber supplements tend to deplete the basic minerals essential for good health and in this way disturb electrolyte balance. For this and variou other reasns, it is much better to obtain your fiber from natural raw foods. Berries, especially cranberries, raspberries and blueberries provide excellent antioxidant content and have proven fabulous for candida. To my knowledge goldenseal tends to kill off your natural stomach flora when taken in even small doses. Other than that, herbals shouldn't pose a problem. Personally, I wouldn't take goldenseal for candida as it may cause further intestinal discomfort. Uva ursi, (upland cranberry) is a much better product. Fiber is best taken in from raw organic foods, such as raw vegetables, fruits, whole cooked dried beans and high fiber oatmeal. Dried organic fruits are also beneficial for this. There are a number of ways to increase your fiber intake however when taken in supplement form they can cause mineral deficiencies and thus may not be the best way to deal with the situation. metamucil used to be a good product, however now I'm not so sure. The formulas has changed somewhat over the years and research indicates that natural psyllium provides the same benefits without the harmful additives. Have you tried Udo Erasmus site? He has a good probiotic which may be benficial for candida. The main dietary guidelines usually recommend total elimination of all sweeteners other than stevia or brown rice syrups. Refined sugar and the milk sugar (lactose)are major contributors to candida 'growth' and should be avoided. Honey (pasteurized) also should be avoided to achieve the desired results. www.udoerasmus.com Best Regards, JoAnn
