Guest guest
Dear Frank, Many people in India have Neem trees in their backyard and take the leaves either raw or fried, as a part of their diet. They also use neem twigs as a toothbrush. Neembatwak, a medicine made from the bark of the neem tree is a very important orally administered medicine in ayurveda. Many other preparations also contain various parts of the neem tree. Neem oil is of course for external application. Ayurveda says applying neem oil on the skin and internal use of neem products have the same effect. Much like the skin patch drug deliveries. Neem as a herbal capsule is available from Himalaya Healthcare. Another pharma, Goodcare has a product Stressguard from neem. The tincture Azharactica Indica (Neem) is widely used by homeopaths in drop doses to be taken orally.
