Ginger Mustard Bath is sure to ease winter''s chill, help ease sinus

congestion and make you feel warm all over. It includes a recipe for

fresh ginger tea!

Yield: 1 bath

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

2 cups Dead Sea Salts

1 cup organic powdered milk

1/2 cup powdered mustard seed

1/4 cup + 2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger

2 drops eucalyptus essential oil

1 drop lemon essential oil

1 drop rosemary essential oil

Blending Procedure:

Mix dry ingredients (salt, milk, mustard) together and set aside.

Grate ginger and set aside 1/2 cup. Place 2 teaspoons of ginger into

a mug of steaming hot water. (Be careful!) Add 1 teaspoon of honey.

Stir. Cover and allow to steep. Set aside.

Add the essential oils to the 1/4 cup and stir well to combine.

Allow the mixture to sit for about 5 minutes. Stir again.

Add the ginger mixture to the dry ingredients and stir well to

combine.

Take your hot ginger tea and your bowl of Ginger Mustard Bath to the

tub and draw a warm bath. Pour the Ginger Mustard Bath in and swish

to disperse the essential oils. Slink in, drink your tea and enjoy!

My mother made them when I was small and had a cold. You need the

dry mustard (may find it in Supermarkets or definately a health food

store). As you fill the tub (with the hottest water you can

tolerate), sprinkle in a quarter cup of dry mustard. When the tub is

full, soak in this bath at least 10 minutes.

This remedy is supposed to draw colds and other germs from your body.

Another mustard remedy for coughs or sore throat is a mustard

plaster. Mix dry mustard in a half a cup of hot boiled water and

make a paste. Place this paste in the center of a small face towel

and fold a few times (no more than two-three times). Place this

cloth on your throat and after several minutes, you should feel a

burning sensation (this is the drawing effect mustard has). Remove

immediately when the burning becomes to strong. When you remove the

cloth, the area will be red. Cover your throat immediately and don't

let it get cold. The redness should disappear in a few minutes.

Mustard Bath

1 tablespoon fine sea salt

1 teaspoon mustard powder

1 desertspoon borax

4 drops eucalyptus oil

Combine the ingredients in a bowl and stir well. Add the powder to a

warm bath, or half amount to a footbath.

These remedies are oldies, but goodies :-)
