Guest guest
I'm wondering if someone can help me with an issue my dh has been having. Over the last few years he has been complaining of itching that has been gradually getting worse. In the past year, it has gotten so bad that he's self-conscious about his constant scratching. The skin problem is on his upper body and head. He has occasional spots that come up on the top of his head and under his beard, but currently he doesn't have any. Upon looking has his head, I found it rather red and has light dandruff. I guess I concerned that he is so uncomfortable. If anyone has any advice or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Jen
Guest guest
I had bouts of skin itchiness for many years, particulalrly at thr edges of my beard and mustache, but also one my forehead and ankles. For short term relief, I found massaging the itchiness with St.John's Wort oil once a day helped a lot. But when I started supplementing with Iodine (10 drops of Lugol's Iodine in 4 ounces of water, 3 times each day -- gargle & scrub gums with a toothbrush, then spit out. Drink the small amount left on the glass, about 1 drop of Lugol's) the itchiness, dry skin flakes, etc. went away. Guest guest
Jen I had dandruff for over 30 years and nothing would help it - some shampoos worked for a few weeks and then were useless. I had itchy moustache, beard, eyebrows and head hair. I went on a low carb diet to loose weight in 2000 and a side effect was the dandruff went away. I'm no expert but I put it down to yeast - in bread. I found when I stopped eating bread the dandruff stopped. I found now if I eat too much bread it returns. Worth a try! Guest guest
A very good remedy for itching is the extract of the Indian herb Neem (Azharyctica Indica). You can get the mother tincture in any homeopathic medicine shop. Ask the pharmacist for the dosage. You also need to pep up your liver. Jagannath.
