Guest guest
FIX network news I dont watch the news, but I read this this article on MSN about those black muslim terrorists that they picked up. It really scares me that we have terrorists like these thinking about doing things that might harm someone. I am glad the feds are preventing people like these from ever becoming a threat to anyone. By getting the jump on them before they ever even became a threat, they prevented them from doing anything more than talking about some hairbrained idea that they were going to pose some kind of threat to someone somewhere sometime somehow. I saw a movie like that once, in which murders were prevented by identifying the killers long before they ever thought of killing the potential victim. I think they used a series of psychics, who reviewed possible future scenarios, and thereby identified potential murders. By having the potential murderers report for vaporization the society was able to eliminate murder- except for the potential murderers who were of course vaporized to some extent. From looking at how these dangerous militants were identified I dont think psychics were used. But the same basic type of forethought as regards potential future bad behaviors is at play. Perhaps we can now futher this and eliminate all forms of potential crime by identifying potential criminals before they potentially commit potential crimes. If there are no potential crimes then it follows there would be no actual crimes either. It is likely that we must build far more prisons to accomodate all the potential criminals who may commit potential crimes; unless of course we may opt instead to have them report for vaporization. And if we examine potential past crimes- that is, crimes that potentially might have occourd if we had potentially had the potential ability or motive, and potentially could have committed a crime, even if he/she didnt-there could be a whole lot more criminals and terorists out there. Some type of vaporization could be more cost effective considering the number of potential criminals or potential terorists of some form or potential manner. Anyway, here is the part of the article that I read about them. I copied and pasted the part that described how they identified them: Attorney General Alberto Gonzales stressed that there was no immediate threat in either Chicago or Miami because the group did not have explosives or other materials it was seeking. " This group was more aspirational than operational, " FBI Deputy Director John Pistole said. Nevertheless, Gonzales said Thursday's arrests underscored the danger of " homegrown terrorists " who " view their home country as the enemy. " Those arrested ranged in age from 22 to 32 and included a legal immigrant from Haiti and a Haitian who was in this country illegally. Investigators said all members of the alleged plot were in custody on conspiracy charges. " We are confident that we have identified every individual who had the intent of posing a threat to the United States, " said R. Alexander Acosta, U.S. attorney in Miami. Five of the defendants, including alleged ringleader Narseal Batiste, appeared in federal court in Miami on Friday under heavy security. They were brought in and out in single file, chained together at the wrists and wearing ankle chains. " It's an example of the philosophy of prevention. These arrests were made during the talking stage, long before any bomb-making stage, " said Kendall Coffey, a former U.S. attorney in Florida. " While they may be seen as bungling wannabes, they are potentially dangerous wannabes who, based on the allegations, were pursuing extremely dangerous plans. " I know that I can sleep better now knowing that the government is protecting us from so much. Michael
