Guest guest
" Tracy " <tracyjones23 Thu, 22 Jun 2006 09:33:29 -0700 (PDT) [Mr_Tracys_Corner] TMC The Traditional Medicines Congress (TMC) comment period closes on June 30, 2006, which is next week. There is not much time left for you to send in your comments regarding this important draft proposal that will have strong impact on the way herbs are sold in this country and which will impact how herbalists may or may not practice. Every comment response will count, so please take time before June 30th to send your comments in. Please also include a request for extending the comment period until October 30, 2006, as many folks have not been informed of this important potential legislation and do not even know what is happening regarding this. You can read the draft proposal by going to http://www.traditionalmedicinecongress.com . It's worth reading the entire document, because as I said earlier, this proposal would definately impact herbal medicine and access to herbs in a significant way, and in my humble opinion it will not at all be a positive step for herbalism or herbal products sold in this country. Other countries have passed, or are in the process of passing, similiar legislation and so far the end results have been negative! This is not the way I hope to see herbal medicine go in the 21st century. You can post your comments to the TMC at either or both of these sites. I hope that you will hurry and do so before the deadline passes. http://www.traditionalmedicinescongress.com TMCongressFeedback Additionally, We are pleased to announce the creation of the Herbal Forum web site sponsored by the Herb Research Foundation (HRF).
