Guest guest
Could anyone give me reliable sources that tell how much of health care premiums actually pay for health care and how much goes for getting the money from insurance companies, advertising, profit, and other expenses that wouldn't be needed with universal health care? I heard a person say only 80% actually went for health care. This quote from Tim Bolen says only 9% of health insurance premiums was available to pay claims. I would think it would be somewhere between these 2 figures. Please help me find the correct figures. Other accurate figures that show the waste in our current health care system would also be very helpful. Thanks! Change is in the air, and it won't take long. Rated 72nd in quality worldwide - but number one in cost, it has become the number one killer of Americans. ...................... Last year, for instance, the average cost for health insurance per employee to a US company was $14,700. By my calculations, only about nine (9) percent of health insurance premiums was available to pay claims. The rest went into the mega-greedy maw of the marble-buildinged health insurance suck-a-thon.
