[DitzisDumpster] Why the Media Isn't Reporting the Bilderberg

Story

<http://prorev.com/2006/06/why-media-isnt-reporting-bilderberg.htm>

The Bilderberg Conference is an ideal example of how the American

elite turns its back on facts even as it denigrates those who wonder

what the hell is going on.

As of Saturday night, no major American media had reported the meeting

of 130 of the world's most powerful and wealthiest individuals, a

meeting so secret that one reporter was arrested for merely flying

into the host city and the Ottawa police had to show credentials to

private security guards to be permitted on the premises. The invited

also include some nasty individuals such as Richard Perle and Ahmad

Chalabi. You don't invite such types to a secret meeting if you plan

to do anything worthwhile. There are no reports of any person of known

moral standing being invited.

How does one explain the utter lack of journalistic curiosity about

all this? One could come up with a conspiratorial explanation but the

answer is probably even more troubling: no conspiracy was needed at

all. Like a well trained child, the media doesn't even want to know

what is going on.

Well, that isn't completely true since past participants have included

the likes of Don Graham of the Washington Post and Paul Gigot of the

Wall Street Journal.

Many city councils in America operate under some sort of freedom of

information and/or sunshine law. Why is it so important that we know

what our town council is talking about behind our backs and so

irrelevant what 130 of the most powerful individuals in the world are

talking about secretly? Sorry, the American media is not cleared to

give you an answer.

1. Welcome to Ottawa - don't forget to take home a souvenir - Could 2006

see the first protest outside the meeting of the global Kingmakers?

08Jun06 - Marek Tysis - http://www.Bilderberg.org exclusive

[Marek is a French speaker and this has been roughly translated into

English - ed.]

Although the discovery of the actual place and venue of Bilderberg's

annual meeting happened only two weeks ago some Canadian papers

havealready spoken about this carefully hidden event.

'Bilderberg Fever' is sweeping Ottawa and the talking point

amongst friends sometimes in hushed, worried, tones.

This is already a small victory because for many years

there is absolutely no publication before the meeting.

The last time where this occurred was in Sweden,

for the meeting arranged in Stenungsund in the year 2001.

Swedish are fierce and proud peoples, they don't like a secret,

some say occult, power to meet on their soil without their knowledge.

Without their democratic assent.

They hardly reacted and obliged their press to speak

and the main SwedishBilderberg representative Mr. Wallenberg

was forced to give an interview before the conference. Jim Tucker,

veteran of the Bilderberg hunt was submerged with interviews that year.

Because Swedish people are respecting themselves,

they were respected by their Bilderberg `Masters' for a week.

Let's hope the Swedish people remember what they heard.

This is normal when living in a democracy. You will tell me:

well, are Bilderbergers or this year's ex-SAS man

Alan Bell's security firm in anyway democrats?

Your question is mine and I do believe that your answer willbe mine as

well.

Elite power is in no way democratic.

Bilderberg's event has more consequences than a relaxed annual soiree

ofthe intellgencia. Above the plutocratic apparatus of 'appointment

offriends to power', every year they see their broad aims achieved.

Their goal is continuous moves towards their vision

- of global government by banks and giant corporations

and is not simply about the pleasure of meeting 'old friends'.

Through NATO and the Atlantic Ocean, between the world's two richest

peoples, a consensus towards a world with the same economic

and politicalvalues is taking place with very little opposition.

Those with power who do oppose those values are invited to Bilderberg

to see the error of their ways as was former UK Labour party leader

John Smith in 1991.

Canada has the chance to have a national press

that Mr Harper doesn't like.

He is even refusing interviews from it, preferring the regional press.

Mr Harper was a guest of Bilderberg 2003 in Versailles, France

when he was just a Canadian party leader.

As was saying Mr Davignon to an English paper, nobody is guilty

when thechoice of the Bilderberg secretariat is a good choice.

Except when thechoice is in fact coming directly from the steering

committee…

As far as I have read personally from French Canadian peoples

internet forums and some English ones, I believe that the honor

to show some resistance today in Ottawa will originate

from joint work between the two communities and I greet in advance

the Canadian courage to protest as so righteous and respectable

as the Swedish one in the past.

If Bilderberg continue to stonewall the press this inevitably will build

up speculation, suspicion, resentment and accusations of totalitarianism.

Some good questions have to be asked by the press

with the adequate answers from key Bilderberg figures

such as David Rockefeller and Henry Kissinger.

This never occurred in 53 years of meeting.

Will this occur this year?

2. Elite firm to guard top-secret meeting in Kanata VIPs set to arrive

for Bilderberg meeting Andrew Seymour and Andrew Mayeda,

with a file from James Bagnall, The Ottawa Citizen

Published: Thursday, June 08, 2006

An elite private security firm has been hired to guard a top-secret

meeting of some of the world's most powerful business

and political leaders at a Kanata hotel starting today.

Members of the Bilderberg Group will descend on the upscale

Brookstreet Hotel for the three-day meeting,

several police sources confirmed yesterday.

At least four off-duty Ottawa police officers will be part of the security

for the event. The highly secretive session, expected to touch on

global issues such as the direction of oil markets

and potential military action against Iran, will run through Sunday.

Senior Ottawa police officers met yesterday afternoon to discuss

preparations for the event, which police are concerned may draw the

attention of anti-globalization protesters as well as present

a potential security risk as a collection of the world's richest

and most influentialpeople gather under one roof.

When asked about police plans for the event, a police spokeswoman

referredthe Citizen to Alan Bell of Globe Risk Holdings.

Reached by phone, Mr. Bell -- who is listed as president

of Globe Risk Holdings in Toronto and a former SAS paratrooper

commando -- said he hadn't heard of the Bilderberg Group

and denied that his firm has been hired to guard this week's conference.

" Never heard of that conference.

What is it? What do they do? " said Mr. Bell before politely

cutting the conservation short.

But according to the company's website, Globe Risk Holdings

specializes in " strategic planning and counter-measures, "

recruits its consultants primarily from elite military counter-terrorist

and special forces units, and has " undertaken consultancy

and project work worldwide in areas of high risk "

including Africa, Central and South America and Asia.

" The consultants at Globe Risk Holdings have proven backgrounds

http://www.globerisk.com/ in military, special forces, law enforcement

and government organizations with real life expertise in the areas

of international security, mining, energy exploration security,

counter-terrorism, kidnapping, specialized training, close protection,

sabotage prevention, and military/law enforcement, "

reads the company website.

" Knowledgeable and discreet, our consultants work together as a team

to offer the quality of service necessary to meet all our clients' needs. "

It's not known if any current heads of state

are expected to attend the meeting.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper has been linked to the group after attending

a Bilderberg conference in Versailles, France in 2003. A spokeswoman

for the prime minister said yesterday he would not be attending

the conferenceand that officials at the Prime Minister's Office

weren't aware of the event.

The Bilderberg Group is named after the Dutch hotel

where it held its first meeting in 1954.

Since then, the group has met annually in various locations

throughout North America and Europe, including Toronto in 1996

and the Chateau Montebello in Quebec in 1983.

The list of attendees at last year's conference

in Germany is believed to have included the

- Queens of Spain and the Netherlands,

former U.S.secretary of defence

- Henry Kissinger, World Bank president

Paul Wolfowitz, as well as top executives and directors

at such multinational corporations as

- BP PLC,- Siemens AG,- Deutsche Bank Group and

- DaimlerChrysler AG.

Canadian attendees are believed to have included Robert Pritchard,

chief executive of TorStar Corp., and Heather Reisman,

chief executive of Indigo Books and Music Inc.

The group was originally conceived as a forum for bridging the political

and economic divide between Europe and the United States

during the Cold War. But in recent years the group has taken on

a mystique, perhaps due to the secretive nature of the meetings.

The group has no website, and attendees promise not to disclose

the subject of the talks. Even newspaper and magazine editors

and media executives who attend the event are sworn to secrecy.

Bilderberg insiders say the approach enables participants to discuss

political and economic issues without worrying how their opinions

will be spun by the media. But it has also made the group a prime target

forcritics and conspiracy theorists who say its members come

to importantdecisions about global public policy behind closed doors.

Whatever the case, Brookstreet staff are staying tight lipped

about theconference. The hotel's general manager,

Patrice Basille, didn'timmediately return a call yesterday.

He has previously said he was unaware of the event.

A Citizen reporter who called to make dinner reservations

was told the hotel will be closed between June 8 and 11

to accommodate a private function.

- - -

A Memorable Evening With the Bilderbergers

They were welcomed by an exquisite array of cakes bearing the flags

of the world. In the evening, they dined on venison -- or was it quail? -

- but only after the Bilderberg tasters made sure

nothing was amiss with the sauce.

It has been more than two decades since one of the most powerful

andexclusive clubs in the world held its annual meeting

close to Canada's national capital.

But if this weekend's conference at the Brookstreet Hotel is anything

like the meeting at the Chateau Montebello in Quebec in May 1983,

it will be a closely choreographed affair swathed in luxury -

- and a discreet but omnipresent layer of security.

Today, Jacques Ternois is director of hotel operations at charter airline

Air Transat. But when the Bilderberg Group met in Montebello,

about 30 kilometres east of Ottawa, he was in charge of food

and beverage operations at the resort.

Mr. Ternois doesn't remember the exact menu served to the Bilderbergers,

but he does remember the security guards stationed at the kitchen doors,

the background checks that his staff had to undergo,

and the food " consultants " brought in to oversee the meal.

Nevertheless, Mr. Ternois said the extra precautions weren't intrusive

andthe conference went off smoothly.

" I wouldn't say it was secretive. I would say low key, " he said.

" They were very simple in their demands. "

Mr. Ternois said attendees came and went at various times

throughout the conference due to their tight schedules.

He couldn't recall all the names on the guest list -- after all,

he was working -- or what they discussed.

" If I'm not wrong, I think (Henry) Kissinger was there, " he said.

" There were several heads of state or close to that. "

Critics and conspiracy theorists find the group's

clandestine ways disturbing. They accuse the group

of seeking to depose political leaders and set global oil policy.

But Bilderberg insiders insist the reality is far less sinister.

" I don't think (we are) a global ruling class because

I don't think aglobal ruling class exists, "

Bilderberg chairman Etienne Davignon told the BBC last year.

" It's people who have influence interested

to speak to other people who have influence. "

Mr. Ternois, for his part, says the Bilderberg conference was one of

themost prestigious events with which he has ever been associated.

He still keeps a photo at home of resort staff and some of the attendees.

" It has a special place in my heart, " he said.

3. List of Scottich Freemason officers published

http://www.public-interest.co.uk/masons.htm

http://www.bilderberg.org/masons.htm

A kindly Scottish soul has sent me in an Excel spreadsheet purporting

tocontain names of all the officers of Scottish Freemasonry.

This makes a useful addition to my collection of masonic reference

documents which began last year with the first ever internet publication

of cogent pages of the masonic yearbook.

How handy it would be when confronted with allegations

of masonic collusion or corruption to have a full list of members

available so anyone could dismiss or confirm those rumours.

A UK parliamentary committee under the chairmanship of Chris Mullin MP

back in the 1990's decided that it was in the public interest

for public servants, particularly judges, police

and those involved in the administration of justice,

to declare their membership, or otherwise, of the freemasons.

This, they felt, would restore public confidence in thecriminal justice

system. Unfortunately, though masons are asked to mention

their membership in their declaration of interest the requirement

for police to declare was dropped - perversely this was

because it would'damage public confidence'.

Many believe the organisation to be a religious cult

which is potentially damaging to our democratic freedoms.

It would be extremely useful if I could also publish the provincial

(city and county) lists of all freemasons, not just the officers

of each province, were to be published.

Electronic versions, either gif's or pdf's etc. welcome!

4. New Economist editor attended 10+ Bilderberg meetings

and never writes a word

http://www.bilderberg.org/bilder.htm#econ

John Micklethwait has attended every Bilderberg meeting for at least

the last ten years. But apart from an accident in the Boxing day 1987

edition when the then editor was away on holiday this

'great magazine for the investor' has never mentioned

the most powerful political and economic gathering in the world

The Economist's new editor

Mar 23rd 2006

http://www.economist.com/displaystory.cfm?story_id=5672088

THE Economist Group's board of directors has chosen John Micklethwait

asthe 16th editor of The Economist, succeeding Bill Emmott on April 1st.

John Micklethwait was until now the editor of the United States

section of the paper; his previous jobs include stints

as American business editor, business section editor,

Los Angeles correspondent and financecorrespondent.

He is the co-author, with Adrian Wooldridge, of four books,

the latest of which is " The Right Nation: Conservative Power in America " .

He joined The Economist in 1987, having previously worked

at ChaseManhattan bank. He is 43 years old.

Bill Emmott has been editor since March 1993.

He announced on February 20th that he planned to step down.

THE FOLLOWING IS THE ONLY MENTION EVER OF BILDERBERG

IN MR MICKLETHWAITE'S MAGAZINE

The Economist - 26th December 1987

Bilderberg - Ne plus ultra

BILDERBERG takes its name from a Dutch hotel where, in the early 1950s,

the first meeting took place under the aegis of Prince Bernhard.

The occasion has outgrown the hotel, but the Dutch link remains.

Among severalEuropean royals who attend as occasional guests,

Queen Beatrix and her husband come regularly.

A Dutch professor who has brokered coalition governments into existence

on her behalf is one of the secretary-generals (the other,

American,one lives

in San Francisco), and Bilderberg's tiny secretariat sits in The Hague.

The meetings now take place by informal rotation

in countries of the Atlantic community.

Some 100 or more attend, by invitation of a steering committee.

The meetings happen once a year, in the spring. They last 2.5 days

(Thursday night until Sunday lunch) and are held in varying

but always comfortable surroundings

- in 1987 Lake Como, before that Gleneagles.

Apart from a half-day on the golf links or sleeping off

the previous night's dinner, morning and afternoon sessions fill up

the time.

A mixture of able and distinguished folk attend - a sprinkling

of serving prime and cabinet ministers, central-bank governors,

defence and other experts. They talk, often to galvanising and

fascinating effect, about the main issues of the day - East-West

relations,

arms control, deficits, debt, the Falklands, sanctions, whatever.

Their thoughts may not be repeated outside the meetings and never are.

This frustrates outsiders but helps 100 great and good people

be frank with each other, as does the fact that Bilderberg members

are limited to people of NATO and West European countries

who know how to be kind or rude to each other without

causing such misunderstandings as would occur if Indians, Fijians,

Africans, Chinese or Japanese were also present.

Elite and discreet, Bilderberg has inevitably been talked of

in hushedtones by conspiracy theorists over the years.

It needn't be. The lists of attenders are published, as are the agendas,

and before each meeting the chairman (currently Lord Roll)

holds a press conference at which few journalists bother to turn up.

Where does the money come from?

Not complicated. The steering-group members raise from business

the small sums necessary to keep the organising secretariat

going hand-to-mouth in The Hague. Members from the host country

raise enough money to pay for the hotel and conference

when it takes placeon their home soil (they are allowed to ask

extra guests to make this money-raising easier).

Participants pay their own long-haul travel, but areusually shepherded

as VIPs from the nearest airport. They also pay expenses over and above

the basic bill for their hotel room - the Bilderberg custom being that

a whole

hotel is booked for each meeting so that Bilderbergers may be alone with

each other, their words, their thoughts and, these days, their

security men.

When you have scaled the Bilderberg, you have arrived.

5. The Coil - New novel by best selling author Gayle Lynds

uses Bilderberg as a backdrop

http://www.bilderberg.org/2006.htm#coil

Q: 'The Coil' is a secret group of international moguls with staggering

power. According to your Author's Note, they're based on a real one.

Tell us how that happened.

GL: About nine years ago during other research, I stumbled upon

one of those paragraphs that are the lifeblood of a novelist.

It mentioned a yearly meeting of powerful world leaders that called itself

the Bilderberg Group. I was instantly intrigued.

Unlike the World Economic Forum, with its hundreds of government

and business VIPs who usually gather in Davos, Switzerland,

and Allen & Co., which is legendary for its smaller but even more elite

summits in Sun Valley, Idaho, I had never heard of the Bilderbergers.

For good reason.

As it turned out, the organization not only shuns publicity,

it requires attendees to keep their invitations secret and to divulge

nothing

about the weekend itself. I spent months confirming the Bilderbergers

even existed, although it had been founded decades before,

in the early 1950s, and half its membership includes

famous Americans likeHenry Kissinger, Donald Rumsfeld,

James D. Wolfensohn (the World Bank) and Donald Graham

(The Washington Post).

Today, the Bilderbergers are quietly but publicly acknowledged in Europe

and Canada, but not here in the United States, not yet, which of course

intrigues me even more. By the way, they named themselves

for the venue inthe Netherlands where they first met -

-- the Bilderberg Hotel............(...continued)

Bilderberg Mafia Comes Under Scrutiny Of Canadian Media

How long before kingmakers forced to retreat to secret island?

Paul Joseph Watson/Prison Planet.com | June 9 2006

The Canadian media has already blitzed its American counterparts by

producing a rash of reports about the secretive Bilderberg Group

meeting in Ottawa as the conference enters its second day.

In 2002 Bilderberg met in Virginia Washington yet not one American

newspaper or TV station reported on a confab which is routinely

attended by the most influential politicos in the world.

That trend has totally reversed this time around, with the Canadian

media already pumping out more reports than we saw for the entire

duration of last year's conference in Germany. These include several

pieces by the Ottawa Citizen, as well as the Globe and Mail and the

Ottawa Sun. A Canadian Press article has also been syndicated to

numerous different outlets nationwide.

A handful of separate reports also covered the grueling 15 hour

detainment of Alex Jones by Canadian immigration authorities at the

request of Bilderberg security.

The Canadian media should be commended for doing their job - putting

the lapdog American media to shame - and shining a spotlight on an

organization that steers the course of geopolitics yet operates with

no democratic oversight whatsoever.

If this sea change continues at next year's meeting, how long before

the skulking kingpins of the global criminal elite are forced to cut

their shadowy deals on a remote private island?

The 2006 Bilderberg participant list is out and it includes names such

as, " New York Governor George Pataki, deputy prime minister of Iraq

Ahmad Chalabi, the heads of Coca-Cola, Credit Suisse, the Royal Bank

of Canada, a number of media moguls, and cabinet ministers from Spain

and Greece. "

Regulars David Rockefeller, Henry Kissinger and Queen Beatrix of

Holland are also in attendance as well as, " Jorma Ollila, chairman of

Royal Dutch Shell, Egil Myklebust, chairman of Scandinavian Airlines,

World Bank president James Wolfenson, and Frank McKenna, former New

Brunswick premier and ex-Canadian ambassador to the U.S. "

The Ottawa Sun is even running a poll asking readers what they think

the main topic of discussion will be at Bilderberg this year, with a

majority of 34% thinking it will be oil prices and 25% the war on

terror. It also quotes Alex Jones and discusses his ordeal with

Canadian immigration.

" These guys love secrecy -- 125 of the most elite people on the planet

meeting together and setting policy, " Jones said. " It's diabolical --

world government, global taxation. On the agenda here, they're

debating (an impending) attack on Iran. "

Following his arrival in one of the fleet of limousines tagged with a

'B' for identification, The Ottawa Citizen approached arch Neo-Con

warmonger Richard Perle and challenged him on the question of whether

Bilderberg directs the course of world policy, specifically in

relation to oil prices considering the large amount of representatives

from the industry who attend.

" If it did, I'd be trading on oil futures, " snapped Perle.

The fact is that during last year's conference in Rottach-Egern,

Bilderberg luminaries 'forecasted' the dramatic rise in oil prices. A

year ago oil stood at $40 a barrel - now it's $70.

The BBC also uncovered Bilderberg documents dating back to the 1950's

showing that the subsequent EU common market and the Euro was

originally the brainchild of Bilderberg.

Perle told former Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien that he would

be embarrassed when weapons of mass destruction were found after

chastising him for not sending troops into Iraq in 2003.

A separate Ottawa Sun report carries an intriguing story of a daring

reporter's attempt to infiltrate the Bilderberg's hotel, which has

been closed to ordinary members of the public and is protected by both

police and private security firm Globe Risk.

Ottawa cops even have to identify themselves to Globe Risk officials

before being allowed near the hotel. What does that tell you about how

Bilderberg place their authority above the law to which the rest of us

are subject?

Another firm, Iron Horse Security are employed to guard the rear

entrance of the hotel and look like they've just arrived from a

funeral, having been ordered to buy black suits for the occasion.

Alex Jones and team are now in place and ready to dig deeper into what

the Bilderberg agenda is shaping up to be in the coming year.

More reports to follow throughout the weekend.

[DitzisDumpster] Secretive, Powerful Bilderberg Group Meets

Near Ottawa

Canadian Press

Ottawa †" It's like Woodstock for conspiracy theorists.

A serene suburban setting has been transformed into a four-day

festival of black suits, black limousines, burly security guards †"

and suspicions of world domination.

On the outskirts of the nation's capital, a tony high-rise hotel

beside a golf course is hosting the annual meeting for one of the

world's most secretive and powerful societies.

t's not the Freemasons.

Forget those fabled U.S. military men who tucked away UFOs in the

Arizona desert.

These guys, you've probably never even heard of, and if you believe

the camera-toting followers who attend all their meetings, they

control the world.

They're called the Bilderberg group.

They include European royalty, national leaders, political

power-brokers, and heads of the world's biggest companies.

Those who follow the Bilderberg group say it got Europe to adopt a

common currency, got Bill Clinton elected after he agreed to support

NAFTA, and is spending this week deciding what to do about high oil

prices and that pesky fundamentalist president of Iran, Mahmoud

Ahmadinejad.

“Some people say that I advocate a conspiracy theory. That's not

true. I recognize a conspiracy fact,†said James P. Tucker.

The 74-year-old American journalist has been following the Bilderberg

group for decades, has written extensively about it, and recently

published his Bilderberg Diary. He follows the group to its annual

meetings and stands outside describing to other journalists details of

his privileged access to their inner workings.

He is not alone.

Daniel Estulin snapped photographs of every vehicle that approached

the concrete-and-glass complex Thursday. He says Mossad †" Israel's

spy agency †" is paying attention.

Away from the golf course, there are no grassy knolls in the

industrial zone outside Ottawa's Brookstreet hotel, the site of this

week's meeting, but the scene does nothing to dissuade conspiracists.

Ottawa police officers are standing guard outside a dozen metal gates

that serve as security checkpoints a half-kilometre from the hotel.

But Ottawa's finest are clearly not in charge here.

To approach the hotel property, even these uniformed police officers

are required to show their credentials to the half-dozen black-suited

men working for Globe Risk, a private security firm.

“This is pretty unusual,†one Ottawa cop said.

Another said they were hired to be there in their off-duty hours and

weren't told much by their superiors: “They just told us, ‘These

are important people. It's a private meeting.' â€

A small crowd of curious onlookers snapped photos of black-windowed

sedans stopping at the checkpoints. It was impossible to see who was

sitting inside.

But it's fun to imagine.

The Bilderberg group is a half-century-old organization comprising

about 130 of the world's wealthiest and most powerful people. The

group is named after the Dutch hotel where it held its first meeting

in 1954.

But don't expect to find that information on the group's website. They

don't have a website.

Nor was there any Bilderberg logo anywhere to be seen Thursday, except

for those nondescript white placards stamped with the letter ‘B' and

tucked under the windshield of all those tinted sedans.

A journalist calling the Brookstreet hotel asked to leave a message

for the Bilderbergers.

“Sure,†a hotel employee said. “Your name and number?â€

The journalist then asked whether the employee could confirm whether

the Bilderberg Group was actually meeting there.

“I don't know,†she replied.

Even members of the hotel gym were barred from the premises. A sign

was slapped on the gym door earlier this week informing them the

facilities would be closed for four days. All other hotel guests were

asked to check out by Thursday morning. Any vehicles remaining in the

parking lot would be towed.

Bilderberg says the privacy of its meetings helps encourage

freewheeling discussion.

An unsigned press release, sent by fax, confirmed this year's meeting

would deal with energy issues, Iran, the Middle East, terrorism,

immigration, Russia, European-American relations and Asia.

“The meeting is private to encourage frank and open discussion,â€

said the release.

“There will be no press conference.â€

The release included a list of participants at this year's event.

The 2006 group includes David Rockefeller, Henry Kissinger, Queen

Beatrix of Holland, New York Gov. George Pataki, the heads of

Coca-Cola, Credit Suisse, the Royal Bank of Canada, cabinet ministers

from Spain, Greece and a number of media moguls, including Globe and

Mail newspaper publisher Philip Crawley. However, Bilderberg followers

say that media moguls whose outlets report leaked details from the

meetings will see themselves banned in the future.,

The group also includes a pair of prominent figures involved in

planning the U.S. invasion of Iraq †" Richard Perle and Ahmad

Chalabi. Fellow White House power-players Donald Rumsfeld and Paul

Wolfowitz, now head of the World Bank, have spoken to the group in the

past.

But Bilderberg is not exclusively a right-wing body, by any means.

Bill Clinton's right-hand-man Vernon Jordan, was also in attendance

Thursday, as was his Mideast negotiator Dennis Ross.

The prime ministers of Britain and Canada †" Tony Blair and Stephen

Harper †" have addressed the group before, as have former Liberal

prime ministers Pierre Trudeau, Paul Martin and Jean Chrétien.

Mr. Harper spoke to Bilderberg in Versailles, France, in 2003 but his

office said he would not attend this year's conference.

Canada remains well represented, however.

The Canadian contingent at this year's event also includes Power Corp.

boss Paul Desmarais, Indigo books CEO Heather Reisman, and former New

Brunswick premier Frank McKenna.

Another Day in the Empire

Neocon Prince of Darkness Sited at Bilderberg Meeting

By Administrator on Uncategorized

According to Megan Gillis, writing for the Ottawa Sun, the Straussian

neocon “Prince of Darkness,†Richard Perle, is in Ottawa, possibly

to attend the Bilderberg Group meeting held there, along with the

standard fare of neolibs and globalists, including “David

Rockefeller, Henry Kissinger, Queen Beatrix of Holland, former N.B.

premier Frank McKenna and a host of other bigwigs,†as Gillis puts

it. As Perle is a prime shaker and mover behind the “clash of

civilizations†agenda to “reshape†the Muslim Middle East (that

is to say, shock and awe it, by way of bunker-buster and depleted

uranium, into submission), it makes perfect sense for him to be on the

Bilderberger roster, especially now that Iran is next up on the target

list.

It appears the globalists are at odds on Iran. “I think of war with

Iran as the ending of America’s present role in the world. Iraq may

have been a preview of that, but it’s still redeemable if we get out

fast. In a war with Iran, we’ll get dragged down for 20 or 30 years.

The world will condemn us. We will lose our position in the world,â€

Zbigniew Brzezinski told Vanity Fair earlier this year. I don’t know

if Ziggy will attend the Bilderberg meeting, but chances are the Soros

side of the neolib order will attempt to convince the neocons, and

thus their sock puppet Bush, to not unleash the Pentagon’s fury

against the Islamic nation, not that the traditional neolibs have any

love for Iran or its people, but rather they likely believe Brzezinski

is correct.

However, now that the Straussian neocons control the levers over at

the Pentagon, with their man Rumsfeld at the top of the organizational

pyramid, chances are Iran will be lined up in the cross hairs, and

before the coming mid-term election. “Because of his chronic

unpopularity, Bush is already in a complicated political

predicament,†writes Dr. Michael Carmichael, a public affairs

consultant and broadcaster. “Bush is facing the loss of his American

political hegemony in the midterm elections this November. If Bush

loses even one house of Congress, he will face the immediate threat of

official probes led by partisan special prosecutors and a rising

demand for his impeachment. In his game of poker with Ahmadinejad,

Bush has nothing to lose by upping the ante and wrapping himself in

the American flag while dropping a massive bombardment onto the

primary vortex of his Axis of Evil, Iran.â€

Of course, official probes and impeachment are, at this point, little

more than wishful thinking, as few Democrats have the guts to take

down Bush. Nothing short of a clean sweep of the corporate and

globalist whorehouse on the Potomac will squash the neocon agenda, now

moving along at a steady clip. However, if the Democrats do indeed win

come November†" and this is less than assured, as the neocons are now

seasoned at throwing elections†" they may pitch a few speed bumps and

slow down the rush to shock and awe Iran into submission, and thus, as

Carmichael notes, the neocons may push hard for an attack before the

election.

“Questioned by a largely supportive audience of admiring students

willing to attend a late lecture on a Friday night [at the at the

Oxford Union earlier this week], Perle touched upon the diplomacy

between the West and Iran in the most insipid terms he could

muster,†Carmichael writes. “Taking into account the latest

diplomatic developments, he gave his Oxford audience the impression

that the outcome remains obscure in spite of the fact that he is one

of the principle architects†" and the sternest†" of the Iran

negotiations.†Of course, as we know, there is nothing “obscureâ€

about the path the neocons are traveling†" they intend to sabotage all

negotiations, as they did previously in regard to Iraq, and put the

“military option on the table.†In fact, as Carmichael notes,

citing former CIA analyst Ray McGovern’s comments on Alex Jones’

radio program, there “is already one carrier task force there in the

Gulf, two are steaming toward it at the last report I have at

least†" they will all be there in another week or so. The propaganda

has been laid, the aircraft carriers are in place, it doesn’t take

much to fly the bombers out of British and US bases†" cruise missiles

are at the ready, Israel is egging us on†(see Former CIA Analyst

Says Iran Strike Set For June Or July, by Paul Joseph Watson).

“McGovern’s predictions may be unfolding already,â€

Carmichael continues. “The London police raid that coincided with

Perle’s visit to Britain netted two men suspected of terrorist

plotting to build a massive chemical bomb. But, after four days of

excruciating forensic examination of their premises, the police found

no evidence of bomb-building activities. Whether this ’swoop’ was

staged or not remains to be seen, but this episode resonates with an

official campaign to ratchet up the public concern about terrorism.

The non-productive raid has produced a predictable backlash among the

local residents who are demanding some form of official confirmation

that the raid was based on credible evidence rather than a melange of

Islamophobic paranoia.†In addition, it appears the Canadians are

onboard with the neocon brand of “Islamophobic paranoia†(or

rather calculated fear-mongering), as a ludicrous terrorist plot, an

obvious set-up by the RCMP, demonstrates. All it will take now is for

a sincere terrorist attack of the sort unrolled last summer in London

to get the ball rolling and the bombing sorties unleashed from

flat-top decks.

“Exactly as Richard Perle intimated to the BBC, the world is

witnessing the machinations in a game of geopolitical poker. The

stakes are high. In spite of his perceived weakness, George Bush holds

a very strong hand, The White House, the Pentagon, the Supreme Court

and both houses of Congress. Yet his political weakness with the

American public is the primary factor motivating him to launch a

pre-emptive attack against Iran. With his approval rating falling into

the low 30s, Bush has too little†" if anything†" to lose to worry

about current public opinion.â€

Dare I say Bush and the neocons don’t give a whit about the American

public? As even a superficial examination of the Straussian neocon

ideology reveals, the neocons have nothing but contempt for the

American people, who they consider clueless peons, little more than

expendable pawns in their global game of domination, beginning in the

Middle East. As I have noted here repeatedly, the neocons believe the

American people are soft, decadent, squeamish, don’t have the

“stomach†for global conquest, and must be forced, through

increasingly brutal and gruesome acts of false flag terrorism, to do

their murderous bidding.

“McGovern entertained the notion that western governments and

intelligence hierarchies could potentially stage terror attacks in

Europe and the US either before or after an invasion of Iran,â€

writes Watson. “â€That’s altogether possible,†McGovern

responded. “I would say even probable because they need some

proximate cause, some casus belli to justify really unleashing things

on Iran….I would put very little past this crew - their record of

dissembling and disingenuousness is unparalleled…. I would say even

probable because they need some proximate cause, some casus belli to

justify really unleashing things on Iran….I would put very little

past this crew - their record of dissembling and disingenuousness is

unparalleled…. I think we all agree that an attack is likely before

the election and we all agree that it has to do largely with the

election†" as for timing I see a likelihood that it could come as

early as late June or early July, most of my colleagues predict

August, September, maybe an October surprise even.â€

Perle’s appearance a the Bilderberg meeting is another indicator

something is up. Is Perle in attendance to sell the shock and awe

campaign to the neoliberal wing of the globalists, who usually prefer

“color revolutions†Ã la Soros? Or did Rockefeller and Kissinger

call Perle, as the neocon ambassador, on the carpet to give him a

dressing down and issue a possible warning? In fact, there is no way

to know precisely.

However, one thing is for certain†" left to their own criminal

devices, the neocons will eventually attack Iran, as they effectively

control the biggest and baddest military juggernaut history has ever

witnessed.

Finally, Dr. Michael Carmichael comments on the probable outcome:

“…if Bush were to attack Iran, he would instantaneously transform

Ahmadinejad into the most powerful figure in the increasingly

Anti-American world. With that transfiguration, Ahmadinejad would have

nothing to constrain him from launching attacks not only against

American targets as Ray McGovern suggests, but the Iranian Prime

Minister would be free to join forces with Hizbollah and Islamic Jihad

in an attack against America’s primary ally in the region,

Israel. Bristling with potential targets from its vulnerable nuclear

facility at Dimona as well as its major population centers including

Tel Aviv, Haifa and Elat, Israel would be in the frontline of any

potential counter-attack by Ahmadinejad.â€

Faced with such a dire prospect, no doubt Israel will start lobbing

around nukes.

" Why the Media Isn't (sic) Reporting the Bilderberg Story. "

This question betray an ignorance; a persisent and baffling ignorance about

media. Why isn't it sufficient to assume, that whenever corporate mass media

fail to report something, that it simply finds such reportage contrary to its

" own " best interests? Oddly, assuming the great likelyhood that the explanation

I propose must be included among those she describes as " conspiratorial, "

doesn't this writer regard the secrecy of media in cahoots with the Conference

itself as part of a conspiracy, i.e. a conspiracy of silence? She can criticize

herself, and, by implication, the entire left, for its tempation to engage in

conspiracy thinking, but, doesn't dare suggest that her opponents are doing it.

But everyone is doing it, because its natural and perfectly appropriate to

indulge in conspiracy theorizing. There is no lack of " journailistic curiosity "

in evidence here. Precisely the opposite. There is an obsessive journalistic

concern about maintaining secrecy.

Conspiracy theories have been given a bad name, I insist, by the conspirators in

this world. It doesn't take more than a moment to realize that conspiracy

theories are subject to the same rules of evidence; as are all other kinds of

theories, and are mostly fallacious, not because they propose a conspiratorial

basis for what they seek to explain, but because most people can't think very

clearly.

Media news broadcasting, for the most part, and unless heroic efforts are

launched to prevent it, serves the rich and powerful. I suppose there are a may

be a few cases where it doesn't, but history and experience strongly favor this

explanation.

[DitzisDumpster] Why the Media Isn't Reporting the Bilderberg

Story

<http://prorev.com/2006/06/why-media-isnt-reporting-bilderberg.htm>

The Bilderberg Conference is an ideal example of how the American

elite turns its back on facts even as it denigrates those who wonder

what the hell is going on.

How does one explain the utter lack of journalistic curiosity about

all this? One could come up with a conspiratorial explanation but the

answer is probably even more troubling: no conspiracy was needed at

all. Like a well trained child, the media doesn't even want to know

what is going on.
