Dear Friends,

Please take a few moments out of this busiest time for farmers and

gardeners to call Senator Bruno's office to urge him to push

S6625 through the Rules Committee and onto the floor for a vote.

There are only 11 more days till the end of the legislative sessioin.

Louise Maher-Johnson, NYSAGE organizer and NOFA member, has been

working hard all year, making many trips to Albany to get this bill

passed. She says:

" ONLY BRUNO can wield his power and pull this off, but he is

preoccupied

with Republican Convention this coming week and with securing Repub

power in the senate. (We had an excellent meeting with Bruno's ag

counsel last week- she may help)

Idea--- Op ed piece and all list servs asked to make phone calls

to Bruno. Especially his constituents should call. "

Farmers and gardeners should be able to tell from the label whether

seed has been genetically engineered. Please call Senator Bruno:
