dear reader, i do not ask that you consider anything you read or find here to

have any particular relevance and nor do i care whether you enjoy what i

present. it is only what i put here. for significance you would be better to

look elsewhere.

Never let it be said that a small group of people cannot change the world. Nor

let it be said that a tiny butterfly flapping its wings in Texas cannot have

positive effect on global warming. Indeed it may be the only living being in

Texas that will try. - Margaret U. Ling

Americans kill one legged Jordanian again, maybe for the last time

8 June 2006

Well Messers Bush and Blair are all aglow today. Once again they've killed off

the one legged Jordanian Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. This time they may not be able to

resurrect Zarqawi so we can all look forward to a new face on the modern day

wanted posters. Who knows, perhaps the next one will be a Canadian, eh. Either

way this latest announcement of Zarqawi's death comes at excellent time for G.W.

Bush.

The American death toll in Iraq and Afghanistan may still pale compared to

Vietnam but My Lai type slaughtering of civilians are happening. Investigations

are embarrassing enough that a victory over Zarqawi is " timely " . There's also a

major internet rumour that Laura Bush walked out on George for at least one

night. Word is she booked into Washington's Mayflower Hotel because she had

enough of the relationship between George and Condi. Rumour? In power politics

that kind of rumour is damaging enough to need some deflection such as the

latest death of Zarqawi.

Certainly is interesting that the father of one of the Americans said to have

been beheaded by Zarqawi is blaming Bush more than Zarqawi.

Do I think the Americans would let Zarqawi live and act out his barbarism in

order to prove some validity to the continued occupation of Iraq? Of course I

think so. That's the way the standard rules of that game play out. Iraqi women

and children being assassinated by drugged up marines with little or no hope of

being rotated back home? Time to kill Zarqawi one last time. Deflection and

deception. Bottom line: marinated Iraqis require victory over evil thug guy.

And what of Condi? Does it matter whether or not she's having an affair with

Laura's husband? Something else is of more interest to me. When the 17 were

arrested in Canada a few days ago Condi indicated it was unrelated to activities

inside America. She was happy to see " Canada " acting so strongly in the " war

against terror. " Then word broke that two guys from Georgia had traveled into

Canada to meet with the Canadian chat room " terrorists " about possible targets

inside the U.S. and now Condi is going on about the co-operation between U.S.

and Canada. Blah blah blah!! The woman really needs to come up for air more

often.

Zarqawi was either just killed or has been long since dead or is not dead at

all. For all we know he could be at the same Club Med in Saudi Arabia as Osama

occupying the villa vacated some time ago by the late Idi Amin. The only thing

in all this that Bush can't ride over between now and the election in November

is the new hurricane season. He can blitz his way out of horrifying scandals

about the treatment of prisoners in Iraq. He can blitz his way past new scandals

about Marines slaughtering women and children. He can be part of rigging

electronic voting machines. He may even be able to bring Laura back to his side.

He can run his cons and counter measures on all those things but he cannot stop

the hurricanes from wreaking havoc again on coastal cities from Texas to

Louisiana.

For the world's sake I'll be chatting to Mother Nature and urging Her to get

down and dirty this Summer and Fall. Live free or Diebold!

Off with his head screamed the Red Queen

6 June 2006

First of all I must confess to being a Canadian. As a Canadian I would like to

apologize to other North Americans for our country's snail pace in joining the

war on terror. But hey! Have we arrived or what? 12 adults and 5 minors have

been scooped up and charged with trying to buy 3 tons of fertilizer from an RCMP

agent.

One of our unfortunates is charged with saying he wants to storm the parliament

buildings in Ottawa and cut the head off our Prime Minister. Presumably he was

then going to blow up the House of Commons. We may be late arriving but our

unfortunates are at least as bizarre as that guy the Americans just convicted:

Zacarias Moussaoui. Moussaoui was clearly so mentally unbalanced that even

Bushbaby bin Laden disavowed all knowledge of him. And now it looks as if we

have our own lunatic fringe (that'd be our Conservative government) wetting

their pants over the apprehended " terrorist plot " to behead Prime Minister

Harper.

Canada one ups Bush and Blair! Show us where any of your terrorizers pulled the

Red Queen card on your leaders.... Only in Canada, brothers and sisters, only in

Canada.

But more important things are afoot. We have a government that bases its

stratagems on the hoary old concept of manufacturing crises so as to legitimize

all sorts of crack downs. Our current government is bound and determined to

prove itself able to play in the Xtreme Sports arena with George and Tony.

Unfortunately, as with so many things, our Canuckstanian Crusader Warriors are

arriving on the scene a few bricks short of a load. For that we can thank our

national police force (Royal Canadian Mounted Please take us seriously) and our

bumbling, mumbling secret service spies (CSIS, it rhymes with See Hiss, watch us

slither).

Whether you're for or against terror you must know that our RCMP and our CSIS

are bound to blunder, screw up and create unfortunate historical footnotes that

make the Keystone Cops look positively well organized. This is not to imply they

do no damage. They have done lots of damage. Its just that they don't have to

reach far to get outside of their level of competence. (That's a polite way of

saying their glass ceiling is in the basement.)

Imagine this: They spy on some internet chatrooms and find therein some wacky

people talking wacky shit. That's basically what chatrooms are all about. Right?

So they run into some internet nutters low brow enough to be impressing each

other with colorful statements about beheading our Prime Minister and blowing up

x, y and z (including apparently the CSIS building in Toronto). So they make

contact and offer to sell the nutters some fertilizer. How much can you get us?

asks the nutter as if placing a buy for a brick of hash or coke. I can get you

three tons of ammonium nitrate if you have a valid visa card. Done, say the

nutters. You're busted says the copper.

Entrapment? Canadian style. Convictions? Not bloody likely. But then

" convictions " is not the point in this Canadian game. This whole thing is about

elections and about letting our Prime Minister qualify to walk in lockstep with

George and Tony.

So, yes, I confess to being a Canadian... an embarrassed Canadian. That being

said I'll be interested to see whether it's against the law in Canada to scream:

" Off with their heads! " If so then the question will have to faced: were these

alleged terrorizers inspired by Osama bin Capone or by Alice in Wonderland?

You'll have to excuse me if in the meantime I decline to take my eyes off sweaty

rapture boy in the White House. He's the real international terrorist. The

chatroom kids just scooped up by our Ottawa based wannabes are just goofy, naive

and completely untrained neophytes who have somewhat understandably personalized

the demonizing of their religion and culture by the right wing " Christians " who

control the government in Fortress North America.
