Last month, the U.S. government's own Government Accountability

Office (GAO) released a report that made headlines for weeks.

Why? The report found that the Bush administration's insistence

on abstinence-only HIV prevention programs is crippling our

ability to fight this deadly virus.

The Bush administration's ideologically-motivated insistence on

using abstinence-only programs to fight HIV/AIDS in Africa and

the Caribbean is costing lives in the very countries we most

need to help.

Click below to help save lives by urging your members of

Congress to stop funding these ineffective abstinence-only

programs immediately.

Currently, one third of all global AIDS prevention funds must go

to abstinence-only-until-marriage programs, despite the fact

that they do NOT work!

Not only are abstinence-only programs ineffective, they are

diverting desperately-needed resources from programs that ARE

effective in preventing the spread of the virus.

In order to comply with this funding requirement, programs have

had to reduce funding for essential Prevention of Mother to

Child Transmission programming, as well as programs for people

with the highest risk of contracting HIV -- sexually active

youth, truckers, sex workers, and couples in which one partner

is HIV negative and the other is HIV positive.

The Bush administration's unscientific insistence on

abstinence-only programs is preventing HIV/AIDS programs from

helping the people that are most at risk and most in need of

help.

Please join us in putting a stop to this madness. Click below

now to contact your members of Congress and urge them to do away

with the abstinence only requirement.

Don't forget to spread the word! Once you've sent your message

to Congress, please forward this message to your friends, family,

and co-workers to ask them to join you in taking action to help

save lives and prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS.

Thank you again for your speedy response to this crisis.
