We have many members and receive many messages for posting to the group.

Examine before posting to the group whether the message is a to the

group or is a personal message to one member. Do not send a message to 4000

members when it is meant for one person. If the information is relative to the

group also, then post to the group.

1) Not all messages get published to the group.

Posting to group is not a right of membership. Reading the messages

is the right of membership. Want guaranteed posting? Please go start

your own group. Messages that get published are due to the value of their

content. If you want something published to the group, then write something

worth posting. Or copy and paste articles etc. that explain the point that you

are trying to share.

2)We are here to learn to be our own healthcare practioner/advocate.

It is accepted that we help each other with information.

Do not try to become someone elses " doctor " . Sharing information is

different than diagnosing, prescribing, and telling someone else what they

should do. If you cannot disintguish between those two things please do not

post.

3) Trim your reposts. When quoting a previous message, ONLY quote the

message, or part of the message that you are directly responding to.

DO NOT QUOTE A WHOLE STRING OF MESSAGES. ALWAYS DELETE THE FOOTER

(any advertising, links, etc. found on the end of each message) as

otherwise these footers repeat themselves on subsequent posts!

4) Off-topic posts such as alternative news are also covered on this

Forum. If you do not want this news, then do not read them. Better

yet, go start your own group and then you can have it exactly the way

that you like it. Groups are not all things to all people. Groups are

for like minded individuals to meet and discuss things. If you feel offended by

the discussions in this group, please and go find a group more to

your liking. Or better yet, start your own group and in that way, you can

determine what content gets published in exactly the way that suits you. Just as

you have the right to choose to belong to this group or not, we also have the

right to choose and determine who our members are.

Also, do not use abusive, rude or defamatory language in your posts,

as such posts can lead to you being banned from the Group. Remember that your

opinions are just that, " your opinions " , so tread carefully.

5) Attachments are NOT permitted on this list and are deleted

automatically. This is to protect the members from viruses being

distributed via this mailing list. If you need to share a File with the group,

you can use the Files department to upload pictures, diagrams etc.

6) Advertising is NOT allowed on this list. It will be deleted before

publishing and you will be removed as a member. Spamming other members

will result in the same. Do not try to use this group for your

" business " . Get your own group, or website, etc. A small signature is

permitted at the bottom of your posts, if the information that you are

sharing is worth posting. The more value the information the more

signature permitted, the less value of the information, the less of the

signature will be permitted.

I thank you all for reading and following these simple rules that I

hope will enable us all to get more out of this group. If you have any

queries or suggestions to make about these rules, please email me

directly.
