Hello Mods,

I know you moderate all Our emails and I don't expect this to get through..

But I would like to make a request. I am a diabetic, recently diagnosed, and

I would like some honest information on Splenda aka Sucralose. From what I

understand the chemical process takes the natural sucrose and replaces 3

carbon molecules from sucrose with 3 molecules from chlorine. This process

turns the substance from sugar (sucrose) into sucralose.

What I want to know is ... Is Sucralose safe for out bodies? Do they know

the long term effects? What are the known side effects and interactions.

I have experiences migraines after using splenda to sweeten cereal, oatmeal

and tea.

Also since I am concerned with a natural food diet, I am worried that

sucralose simply isnt good for my body and might pose a risk to me or my

blood sugar levels.

Finally... On the flip side I have heard that stevia (an herb) is a natural

sweetener that has come up against a lot of FDA negative opinion. I

understand that there was a recent law that now permits the sale of stevia

as a food supplement but not as a sweetener. Could you also provide the

group with some information on this herbal sweetener as well. Is it still

illegal to buy? And is it dangerous or is the FDA just upset because they

are unable to regulate it so they don't want us to have access to it.

Thank you for all you are doing and the great information you provide.

Crystal M
