Dear friends,

 

Each year, pharmaceutical companies spend $4 billion on ads for prescription

drugs they say will make you feel happier, sleep better and improve your sex

life.

 

Drug ads can be extremely dangerous, as the Vioxx tragedy showed. The ads are

not educational. They just increase the cost of drugs and the number of

unnecessary prescriptions.

 

It’s time to end the madness.

 

Yesterday, 37 organizations (

Network to endorse our Public Health Protection Act (

prescription drug ads.

 

Our next step is to get our bill introduced in Congress.
