OT: Unauthorized Representation of Appalachian Valley-Anatolian Treasures ** History Now

Hi y'all,

 

The issue is history now. The young person has closed down the site and

some other good Taiwanese folks (one is a member of this list) has made

it known to the lists in Taiwan that the opening of the site was not

authorized. I was also advised that a lot of young folks in Taiwan gave

this wayward child a rough time for his mistakes. ;-p

 

Anyway .. justice is served. Most of us have/had kids who could screw

up a steel ball before they got old enough and experienced enough to

know that life sometimes kicks you in the ass when you screw up.

 

I have a lotta replies to send to folks on this (Oils & Herbs) list ..

I'll get to them tomorrow. Its almost 0300 here now and I've been

swamped with orders today .. so its off to the sack for me now.

A very good idea that is.

But .. the Eagle was on the label. And the words Anatolian Treasures

was on the label .. I saw them with my eyes .. many people saw them.

Right you are .. it is MY Registered Logo.

I tried that .. but it didn't work. And I asked someone in Taiwan to

try it .. and they said it didn't work for them either.

It made Chinese people believe that you represented me. That's why I

received so many emails from people in Taiwan. And just today, a person

wrote this .. my people in Maryland sent it to me:

Can't you see that this person saw you as my Taiwan Distributor?

I don't care about that ... but nobody can use my Logo, my company

name, or the words Anatolian Treasures ON their bottles or labels.

I am not angry .. I am disappointed. And I hope you learned from this.

It doesn't matter how large the business is.

Nor does that matter .. except it is wise to teach them the correct way

to conduct business.

I know you are a young man. And I'm not threatening you with a law suit

so you have no need to consult a lawyer. I am not trying to hurt you.

I am only demanding my legal rights .. that other people not use my

registered trademark brand .. or give the impression that they are

representing me. When you stop doing that, all is forgiven.

I will accept these words. But don't ever do it again.

Yes.

Yes. But you must use you own bottles and your own labels. And you can

say you got the oils from me if you want to .. but you can only say that

for oils that you got from me .. not for any other oils.

It would not be ILLEGAL to say that on the label .. but it would also

not be ethical to say that on the label. Not on the labels. But you

can say that in your advertising.

Of course not. I have many Taiwanese friends. I guess you are my

friend too. Some Taiwanese people .. and some American people .. make

honest errors .. some of both make dishonest errors. I think yours was

an error caused by a strong desire to succeed and a lot of enthusiasm.

So .. considering your youth and your enthusiasm .. I think it was an

honest error.

You can resell my oils .. or anybody else's oils. But you cannot use my

company name, my logo, my Eagle .. etc.
