Also, would you please evaluate my site. Many

people have been there and am getting less than

2% sales. I am doing something wrong with the

site and I have yet to figure it out.

Hi Cheryl,

Congrats on the new shop :)

I am in the process of doing about 10,000 things at once (okay, I'm exaggerating, I'm only doing about 8 things at once *LOL*), but at first glance the store looks nice ... maybe on the front page where you mention for example ...

Check out our imported Egyptian Perfume Bottles, Ornaments and our non-aromatherapy gift selections in our catalog.

We sell diffusers with birds, animals, and sealife. They are made of ceramic, resin, glass, and pewter. You will find these and many more diffusers in our catalog."

Make the words like "Egyptian Perfume Bottles", and "diffusers" and other products mentioned links to the actual products :)

That was just my first quick thought! I haven't gotten to poke around too much YET, but as I do I'll definitely give ya input! Keep up the good work and good luck!!!!! :)

Cheryl... punch up the text on your home page a bit. You're telling people

what's there, but you're not giving them a reason to check it out. Punch up

the language. Really *sell* it. Give them a reason to want to look deeper

into your site. Make it sound intersting.

And fix the typos and punctuation errors. :-) I know they're hard to catch

when you're deep into creating the site.

Your home page is your biggest advertisement. If it doesn't pull people

into the site immediately, you've lost them.

Hi Cheryl

Have just had a look at your site. I'm in UK and tend not to buy from USA sites because of cost of postage etc

Here's a couple of comments

I'm quite happy to read on site but think that pictures enhance any site and help people to make decision and they need them at the beginning so that they find it attractive right away - then they can go look at the writing.

So, I think I'd like more pictures when you first go into the site and then I would like to be able to click on a picture to enlarge it.

And I think that you could put a picture up of your bottles of oils and pots of cream etc - just a 'group' picture perhaps would make it look more 'interesting'

My husband was looking at it over my shoulder and asked me to go to the page that said what quality of oils you sell, but I couldn't find anything about that, not anything that says why I should buy my oils from you rather than anyone else!! I'm an aromatherapist and to me quality is the most important thing. I suppose that, as an aromatherapist, if I was looking for essential oils I wouldn't go to a Gift Shop site because I wouldn't expect the oils to be clinical quality, so having the combined name might put some people off.

He also said that he didn't think brown was a very good colour!

We both thought your pictures of burners and glassware were really nice and they downloaded quickly, so there was no problem there. (other than I'd like to be able to enlarge them, but that might be my eyesight!) I did think that there was more emphasis on the glassware than on the aromatherapy, but that is just looking at it from my angle.

Just little bits, I hope they help. It's a nightmare isn't it!

(He also said that 2% isn't bad!!)

Regards

Ann - Scotland

Ann & Husband,

Thank you and your husband for the analysis. I

am still working on it, but all of these comments

really help. I print out all this help,go and

make changesas I can.

So it comes out brown on your computer.....mine

shows me the black and gold. ouch - brown is

soooo ugly, imo. I am looking at a new design

that I like, more in line with my retail store's

colors of purple and pink. Well I will be making

many changes and I really appreciate the

comments.

I really like the ideas of more pictures at the

start ... and I need to figure out how to do the

thumbnails so that they will enlarge. But I

will!
