Guest guest
Yo Ylva, > I must say, you have a way with word that makes me laugh out loud > while reading your post. Have to agree on Turkish cooking, it's fab. Yep .. they are very international in their approach to cuisine. But being the bridge between the East and West for centuries .. plus the exploits of the Ottoman Empire .. allowed them access to many different cultures. The Ottomans were smart .. they didn't force assimilation but rather took on the norms they liked in other cultures. > Me and DH went to Tureky twice on Holiday (time before kids and dog) - > Alanya was horrible, but Marmaris was very-very lovely. Alanya .. you gotta live there to really feel it .. its like Bodrum. Marmaris is purely touristic .. like Side, Antalya. Kus Adasi, etc. In fact, the average European touristic head count per day arriving in Antalya this year was 35,000 people .. yep! Direct flights via SAS and other airlines to Antalya. And Antalya can handle it without being crowded. (Snipped a bit) ;-p > But you gotta get some sleep - otherwise you end up like me, more of > a burned out wick, than any " normaly fat and througrough wise women > in the best of my years " (free translation of " Carlsson on the roof " > by Astrid Lindgren). Hawhawhaw .. I'm a lot like a bird dawg .. eat one meal a day and nap when I feel like it. I sit back in my desk chair and take power naps from time to time. My folks love it too cause I'm not grouchy whilst I'm napping. ;-p Since returning from the US in late October I haven't even tried to deal with jet lag .. its more convenient for me to work nights and sleep all morning cause most customers are 7-11 hours behind me here. Weekends .. I crash a bit .. 8-9 hours a day. > But I keep on smiling anyhow, > Ylva Nothing like it .. and a heckuva lot better than the alternative. ;-p Y'all keep on then .. :-D Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
