Guest guest
I must say, you have a way with word that makes me laugh out loud while reading your post. Have to agree on Turkish cooking, it's fab. Me and DH went to Tureky twice on Holiday (time before kids and dog) - Alanya was horrible, but Marmaris was very-very lovely. If - and I mean IF, you are willign to makr my parcel " gifts " and include no invoice, I will place an order so fast you don't know what hit you ;-D Some US companies can do tha tand others can't, depending on their consiousness I guess. Me I have none, when it comes to shopping from the US LOL, but Margaret is a treasure - she helps me out big time. Otherwise I would have to pay an additional tax of 25% on both shopping value and shipping, plus a heavy customs fee on top of that. Imagine what my creams would cost then ;-P But you gotta get some sleep - otherwise you end up like me, more of a burned out wick, than any " normaly fat and througrough wise women in the best of my years " (free translation of " Carlsson on the roof " by Astrid Lindgren). But I keep on smiling anyhow, Ylva
Guest guest
Hi Ylva, > A Swedish sister - it's a small world after all. Yep .. sure is. :-P Suzzane was 21 when I first met her. She came to visit me in Atlanta, GA .. along with her mother, Margarette. That was in 1986 .. haven't seen her since then but we have corresponded. A nice looking and smart little gal too .. favors her big brother a bit. ;-) > And no Swedish customer?? Naaa .. :-( But I'm danged sure working hard to get one or two. ;-p > Well, let me tell you, if it wasn't for EC and all the strange import > rules ouside it's borders, I would have been a customer of yours long > time ago (my best best friend Margaret raves about your stuff). Glad to hear those nice words I am .. :-D And I bet you a 5 ml bottle of Rose Otto that I can get a package of EO into Sweden swift like a rabbit. We have customers in Argentina, Australia, Austria, Barbados, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Cyprus, England, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Scotland, Singapore, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the UAE, Venezuela and Wales. Some of these are EC domains. Plus .. I have a steady customer in Italy .. a food processor .. who buys large quantities of Oregano EO .. puts it in canned sauces. > But have no fear - with Margarets help as a bulvan, I'm sure you gonna > see me shopping like crazy in the future. Tell you what .. you do that and IF the Big Brother EC folks give you any problems, tell'em to ship it back to Maryland and I'll pay shipping both ways. I am totally confident of getting packages through. ;-p > Or - if Turkey joins EC - I can shop directely from there ;-D That wouldn't work too well. We have the biggest bureaucratic garbage system here imaginable. It costs me the same fixed cost to send one gram or one metric ton from Turkey .. and only Turkish Origin oils would be available. That's why I built the company in Maryland, USA .. its my central point for accumulation and storage and when we ship out from there, we just fill out a tiny little customs tag, drop it in the Post Office or give it to FedEx International (with whom we have a fantastic discount) and its Gone Like The Wind. But from Turkey, its a matter of going to this and that ministry and letting lazy knuckleheads rubber stamp all the documents and collect their tolls. ;-{ Also .. unless America pushes it, I think we and our younguns will be long since under snakes afore the Christian Club accepts Turkey. > Now I'm gonna go upstairs and read on the labesl one more time and > see if there is anything I have missed. I just love any kind of > citrus and have several from different suppliers - but limetta/the > tart lime is my real fav. Ylva You oughta taste those green Turkish lemons .. they can be eaten like an orange .. not sweet but they won't pucker your mouth either. I often have one after a meal in a restaurant. Unfortunately, we have no Lime here in Turkey. When I get down South in the USA, I always eat enough Key Lime Pie to cause me to have to carry a few pairs of traveling trousers cause the ones I have get too tight. ;-p Course .. lately, I've been sorta chowing down here too ... must be the weather. Couple or three times a week I pig out on Baclava .. only need a $1.25 or so to get full .. and last night I had a double chicken shish kebob in a 10 inch loaf of fresh bread .. smothered with hot peppers, fresh tomatoes, lettuce and onions .. but the price has increased a bit on that lately .. danged near 75 cents now. ;-p Y'all keep smiling, Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
