Hey Jonee,

Plain old Oregano Hydrosol .. or a number of other Hydrosols would do

the job as a kitchen disinfectant .. but I would not routinely spray

them on a child's hands .. nor would I spray an eo/water/emulsifier

concoction on the child often.

There's always a chance of sensitization with frequent use of any

chemicals .. and two years old is just too young (methinks) to get

squirted regularly with such things. Soap and water will do the same

job but it will require the mama to exert a bit more effort.

I would not use ANY essential oils .. too expensive.

Orange will cut grease in a flash .. won't do much disinfecting though.

A study by Vanderbuilt University 2-3 years ago showed that Oregano was

the most powerful disinfectant of all the oils tested .. for the purpose

of cleaning kitchens .. countertops, etc.
