Guest guest
Yo Chris, You are one zillion percent perzackly rite. Those who don't vote must accept the results without comment. > Speaking of elections . tomorrow is voting day here in the US and this > is a just a friendly public service reminder to everyone to get out and > vote! There are folks in parts of this planet who would die (and have > died) to have the right to vote! Disenchanted or not, just remember - we > can't make a democracy work if we don't vote - and even if you don't > like the candidates, not voting isn't gonna help get any better folks > into office! So let your voice be heard, no matter who you are voting > for, cause if everyone DID actually vote in EVERY election, I bet the > political structure and faces within it would paint a WHOLE lot > different a picture than it is now! There have been many occasions where American elections have been determined by a percent or two .. we saw that in the last Presidential election. And considering that I voted via Absentee Ballot, and they were allowed to be counted after the polls closed, I'll always believe that it was MY VOTE that turned the tide. ;-9 And for those who have studied American history, you will know that the TOTAL cause for the colonies to rebel against King George was the fact that they were not allowed representation in the House of Commons .. so they refused to accept taxation without representation. Nothing I know of has changed .. we need to put our freedom of choice into play even though we might not like the outcome.
