Guest guest
Hey Jennifer, Welcome aboard .. :-P > I found this site while doing a search on sandalwood herb today. Betcha didn't find much on Sandalwood herbs - huh? Kinda hard to find it cause there ain't none .. its the wood from the middle of the tree. I expect you knew that .. just thought I'd pitch it out. Another point .. you " might " find a site saying there is no such thing as Mysore Sandalwood EO available in the USA and they'll tell you many reasons why .. all of which are bovine excrement .. afore they try to sell you an Australian imitation called Sandalwood but ain't. ;-p I'm betting that the Mysore Sandalwood chips the site below is offering is also not true Santalum album cause getting the EO outta India is hard enough but getting chips out oughta be a real bear .. ;-p > It says most of their herbs are either organic or wildcrafted. > http://www.herb-inc.com They are located in Berkeley California. As for their prices ... they might be the norm ... I'm not sure cause I don't shop for herbs. But we have offered 4 wildgrown herbs from Turkey for a long time. Don't make crap on them and they are a hassle to deal with but like the Rose Petal Jam, they're there to make folks smile and to bring them in so they'll buy something worthwhile .. ;-p See URL http://www.AV-AT.com/herbs.html That company is getting $9.10 a pound for Organic Rosemary and $11.70 a pound for Organic Oregano .. but I'll GAR-AN-TEE you that there is no comparision to a cultivated Rosemary or Oregano and a natural wild-grown Rosemary or Oregano. They ask $13 for Bay Leaf .. we're out of stock but were asking $6. Plus they are claiming its Organic and I'll give odds its Wild-grown. They ask $10.40 and $16.25 for Sage .. Salvia officinalis, which has a high level of Thujone .. generally in the area of 15% or so. We get $5.12 for Wild-grown Salvia fruticosa which has less than 2% - better. I am NOT trying to sell Culinary Herbs and Spices .. in fact, I'm happy when I don't get orders for them cause they're a non-money-maker and a pain-in-the-butt to package .. just wanted to show y'all the realities of the pricing. McCormicks has a factory here in Turkey - its from here they obtain Rosemary, Oregano and Bay Leaf .. some Sage and other aromatics. > Hope this helps! > Jennifer Flanagan Y'all keep smiling, Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
