Hey Chris,

> I've got Greek and Italian ancestry :)

Sandi asked if you had Turkish ancestry too .. and it might be. There

is much Turkish blood in Greece .. the Ottoman Empire ruled it for many

centuries. There are many Greek Turks .. called Rum. So maybe. ;-p

Oh yea .. you know that a famous Italiano opera singer is also Turkish.

A few years ago, there was a man with an Italian father/Turkish mother

who attended school in Turkey and as he grew, it was recognized that he

had a great voice .. so he attended the Turkish government Conservatory

of Music. He graduated and went to work at the Turkish Opera House on

Ataturk Boulevard in Ankara .. a great opera singer he was. He went to

Europe and other countries with the Turkish performers and he was always

a star of the show.

Then he had an affair with a movie star .. who was also the wife of the of the Turkish Arts and Culture Association. It was found out

and he was unofficially banned from performing. After a few months, he

decided to leave Turkey and go to his father's country .. and he did.

And that is why Pavrotti is no longer a Turkish citizen.
