Seems like a fair reason to me .. ;-) > I'm really trying to get a mental picture of you making perfume > and it's just not happening ;-p I reckon you're right .. but I make good Black Russians .. :-) > And if someone else likes the mysore then that's what'll be in their > blend. Today I changed barbers again .. not that I have enough hair to care but I have a nice goatee now and I like the lines along the jaw to be straighter'n ary angel .. and my last one needs glasses. But anyway .. these Turkish barbers give a shave and haircut and scalp and chair massage .. at today's exchange rate, it cost me $3.71 .. BUT it was the FIRST time I have ever had one use Rose Hydrosol .. always they use a Turkish Lemon Cologne .. which is good but the Rose Hydrosol was a nice switch .. :-) > Some of the really expensive French perfumes are made with Lilly of > The Valley, no such essential oil....wish there was. Unless you're > talking more expensive than I am? I don't doubt it .. I was going on what one of the experienced perfume chemists said on idma .. my favorite perfumes fer wimmens is Roma and Samsari .. Roma is finer'n frog hair and all natural. There is one more I can't even remember but my olfactory memory locked onto it. Way back when I was too young to buy a beer in the USA .. but not too young to go to the 'Nam .. I was heavy with a little French-Vietnames gal name of Huong .. which means " Perfume, " and she wore one that was fantastic. I left there in '64 and when I went back again in '68 I went to see her but she had become a casualty to the VC ... bus hit a mine. Anyway, I didn't smell such a perfume again till around '98 or '99. I was walking down the street in Ankara and passed a lady who had that perfume .. I went back and assured her I wasn't trying to hit on her but wanted the name of the perfume. She told me, it rang a bell and danged if I have not forgotten the name again .. but NEVER the odor. > Ex: Chanel #'s 5 - 19.......others that make me sneeze, cough, wheeze, > etc's.. looks pretty funny ;p Gal sat behind me and a buddy last summer at the local outside watering hole. She was wearing Poison and it is just that. I started sneezing and couldn't stop .. it was embarrassing as hell. Then the gal and her male friend started giggling so I told her that she was the reason for my sneezing and the guy started to get bent out of shape when the woman at the next table jumped in and told her it bothered her too .. ;-p > > > Why? (Oh, yea, it is batch #'d, GC tested and I have the analysis...) > > > > Good show .. and what does the analysis say? I again point out that > > there is a difference twixt purity and quality .. ;-p > > True enough, and at times you look for purity as in perfumery... not > cat piss though! LOL I can get that right here, just take away the cat > litter! Bet that litter box smells better than Poison .. ;-p > > > The why is that sometimes in blending you need that bitter > > > undertone or bit of a bite that this oil has..........<ducking> > > > > OK .. Got 50 kilos of the Origanum dubium Linalool type .. was like pulling hen's teeth but we got it after collecting small amounts of the plant from this and that village over a 3 month period. And it was delivered to Friendsville Monday .. along with .. ta ta ta ta ta .. 50 kilos of the Hydrosol from that oil ... ;-p > Your oregano's work, plain and simple. They do work .. but in truth, anybody's will work if its the real thing and straight from the still. Though I am partial to the wildgrown. > And Heidi's right on the rose oil. Thankee m'am .. I will sho'nuf support that. In my opinion there is none finer than the Turkish Rose Otto made by the Rose Growers Assoc. > > Which means to me .. that you gotta go for where you get the most > > bang for the buck or the most rubble for the ruble .. and some cat > > piss goes further than others .. ;-p > > > > ROFL, I " only " buy sandalwood (mysore) from you.. love it Generel > comment it was that the other one's good for perfumery is all - Understand .. was just speaking in generalities .. ;-p > sooooooooo, the pc's fixed, not fixed, you threw the guy off the > balcony...what??????????? Naaa .. he's a good kid .. just kinda slow .. ;-p Studying economics in a country that doesn't believe it such things. > Or he's coming back tomorrow? You know, if you threw him off the > balcony, wouldn't they have to send someone else? Just a thought... He ain't coming back till next week .. and if I threw him off, there would only be one or two more like him in Turkey .. ;-p Tomorrow begins the five day religeous holiday .. following the Haj is the Sacrificial Holiday. Folks slaughter an animal and give the meat to the poor. The way I been feeling lately, I'm thinking of slaughtering a chicken and eating the whole dang thing myself .. I'll give the feets and the head to the poor. It ain't like they gonna be hungry in the next few days with all that free meat around .. ;-p Besides .. poor in Ankara means your color TV screen is too small. > Hugs, > Marilyn- who's laughing like hell And to you .. Butch who is gonna fill out two orders now and then suck a couple of ice cold Turkish Efes Beers .. and laugh like hell .. :-p
