Yep .. but an AK-47 might be more appropriate to take care of some of

these knuckleheads .. ;-(

Actually, a small fire wouldn't be all that bad right about now. Here

in Turkey, apartment buildings turn off the central heat at midnight and

turn it back on at 0600 .. not so bad as a small space heater can do the

job if you wanna stay up and watch TV or work or whatever - and it is

really not very cold for very long .. except this year!

This is the coldest winter Ankara has seen in over 30 years .. snow has

been on the ground since afore Christmas .. and on 1 January, natural

gas went up 100% .. so apartments are still turning off the heat at

midnight.

I'm in my office now and my space heater is a bit better than a candle

in a deep freezer .. went out to buy another one today and there were

NONE to be had .. so other folks had the same idea. It's now around

1800 here so the heat (as it is) is still on .. but come midnight,

considering that it was like 12 degrees F. last night, I'm gonna be

sitting here typing in a sweater and Turkish robe .. over my clothes ..

Thankee .. if I didn't have so much work to do, I'd say to hell with it,

go down to the local pub and get about half snockered .. slither back

and crash in my little office bed and not even notice the cold .. ;-p
