Guest guest
Any men on the list, you may want to delete this one. I'm one of those people that's comfortable talking about anything with anybody, so I may not say this discreetly or modestly enough. I'm 28 weeks pregnant now, and already I'm as big in the chest as I was when I gave birth to my other 3 kids...and they're still growing (for modesty purposes, I won't say what size I am LOL). I already have some stretch marks on my chest from my first pregnancy but I have a feeling I may get more from this child because they're not exactly growing slowly. What can I rub on to make them more " elastic " to prevent the stretch marks besides plain old olive/other oil? Are there EOs that will help that? The other ones aren't noticable but if I get more or these get deeper, they would be and I really don't want that (not that I go around flashing everyone, but it's a vanity thing). -- <>< Erin very full time Mama to 3 Miracles...6 yo dancer, 4 1/2 yo warrior, 3 yo entertainer, Sprout due 3/2003. ~now taking bets on Sprout's birth weight~ We now have an instock store! http://edenessentials.wahmart.com/store Pay off holiday debt...Join Pampered Chef for $50.00 now...ask me how! Guest guest
Hey Erin, Don't EVEN look at MY body. I'm a Giant Road map! But, I'm also very strange cuz I'm quite proud of all the little " Dirt Roads " " Major Highway " and the " San Andreas " size marks on my chest and belly. Howsome ever, I quite understand not wanting these little " Beauties " and don't have much comfort to give you, sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't, a lot depends on the delicacy of your skin. Mine was tissue paper! ;-) The ab-so-lute best oils you can do for old, new and in the making scars are Rosehip oil and Helichrysum. If you don't want an oil, why not make up a VERY nice lotion with Olive Oil, Cocoa Butter, Jojoba oil, Rosehip and Heli. Chuck in some Rose while you are at it, oh, and make it with bee's wax! But. Last warning, sometimes those suckers are going to come and stay no matter WHAT you do! ;-) Cheers! Guest guest
*Sigh* I am the wrong person to ask about this one. With Sean I gained over 60 lbs and nothing I did prevented those stretch mark scars (or the affectionate term for them is baby tattoos) In fact because of them I will NEVER be able to sport a belly button ring or wear a bikini - then again I never wore either of those before, so I guess its not that bad ... *LOL* . With this pregnancy I haven't gotten any new marks so far (only expanded about 37 lbs to date and I'm at 30 weeks, so hopefully all my stretching last time was enough to keep new ones at bay ... ) BUT I can tell you that MakeYourCosmetics.com has a bunch of nice looking recipes for belly butters (and I'm sure a belly butter can be used as a booby butter http://www.makeyourcosmetics.com/recipes/index.asp?cat=mommy Good luck! I totally understand your vanity thing! *Smile*Chris (your sympathetic partner in pregnancy and list mom http://www.alittleolfactory.com Eden Essentials [eddi01] Monday, January 06, 2003 1:30 PM Quick! Guest guest
Oh Kathleen, I know what you mean about being proud of them. I have some on my belly and I am very proud of them. My husband finds them sexy so that probably helps in me not minding about them too! :-) Thanks for the ideas. I'll look into getting that stuff and making up a body lotion. This Body Basics Absolutely Rose that I have here from my Elf for Christmas, has some of wonderful things in it. Think this would work? It has: Shea Butter, mango butter, coconut oil, rose wax, vitamin E rose absolute, ylang, vetiver, black pepper EOs. I've been rubbing it on my belly because it feels so good but I'll just start rubbing it on there too, until I get my own made. Thanks again! Guest guest
Thanks for the belly (and booby) butter link! I'll be making some soon. Wow, you only have 10 weeks to go! How are you feeling? I already feel like I'll be pregnant forever and filling out college apps for a fetus. I'm positive of it. Time to make supper for the trio--I know because it sounds like WWW3 broke out in my living room. I think it's over a matchbox car this time. {rolling eyes} chrisziggy wrote: > *Sigh* I am the wrong person to ask about this one.
