Guest guest
The fact that fenugreek is high in progesterone just doesn't make sense to me, although I did the research and what it does contain is certain saponins that are precursors to progesterone. It is contraindicated in pregnancy, first of all. Why would this be true if it increases progesterone? Also, it is an herb which promotes lactation, which indicates to me that it raises prolactin levels, which decreases fertility. I guess I am just trying to make a connection here, and I can't! So I have been avoiding fenugreek to some extent b/c I am trying to conceive and do not want to raise my prolactin levels which would make it harder for me to conceive. I need fenugreek / thyme for my sinuses occasionally, though. So, I don't really know what my question is, but if anyone can shed some light on my understanding of this herb, that would be most appreciated! :-) DebbiedebBHC Decadence is now www.debrasrhapsody.com -- please excuse our look as we revamp for the new year! Also hormones play a big role. For women taking Fenugreek seeds in a tea, and then eating the whole seeds (just mix with honey) that were used for the tea is a great way to build up the basic building blocks for what we need. I dont know what it would do for a guy. I think I read that progesterone is the pre-cusor for both male and female hormones. anyway...fenugreek is high in it, i think. Fenugreek is high in vit E i think also. Anyway it does wonders for the libido too <smile.> Take care, Kristie New DSL Internet Access from SBC & How To Make Rose Petal Jam - Step By Step Instructionshttp://www.av-at.com/stuff/rosejam.htmlTo Un send a blank e-mail to: -
