Guest guest
Hello. My fiance has hair " issues " . He doesn't want to buy the shampoo from a store because most of them have unhealthy chemicals in them. (BTW, whether the chemicals are bad or good, is not the purpose of this post). So he wants me to make him a botanical shampoo with ingredients associated with keeping his head " baldness free " . I've been looking in books and on the internet for shampoo recipes and I'm finding that there are some herbs that might work but the process is messy and time consuming (buy herb leaves, soak them in water, wait an hour, etc).... I have a wedding to plan! I don't have time for something THAT involved. I was hoping I could just get some essential oils to put in his liquid castille soap base along with some jojoba oil. Can someone tell me where I can find a recipe for hair loss prevention/hair growth that uses essential oils, castille soap and maybe some jojoba oils, but that doesn't involve soaking of herbs? Thank you very much! This group has been so helpful! -Monica
Guest guest
Hi Monica, Congrats on the upcoming nuptials. I have a problem with my hair falling out a lot but nothing close to baldness but I use a hair rinse of Jojoba and rosemary. How long before the wedding? Maybe, if I have all the herbs necessary, can fix up one of those recipes that you found for you. ===== Cheryl Smith Anchorage AK Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable. Sign up now. http://mailplus. Guest guest
Hi all!I am new to this list. I have been interested in essential oils and herbs a long time. I was looking for a source of EO's and found this list. I wanted to jump in here about hair loss but I hope I am not jumping in too much here. I have been told --it was a while ago, that hair loss is actually due to not getting enough B-vitamins. Hair is composed greatly of the B's. Sugar uses up B-vitamin stores in the body when it is being digested. So junk food is actually the cause of a lot of the hair loss we see these days. Also hormones play a big role. For women taking Fenugreek seeds in a tea, and then eating the whole seeds (just mix with honey) that were used for the tea is a great way to build up the basic building blocks for what we need. I dont know what it would do for a guy. I think I read that progesterone is the pre-cusor for both male and female hormones. anyway...fenugreek is high in it, i think. Fenugreek is high in vit E i think also. Anyway it does wonders for the libido too <smile.> Take care, Kristie New DSL Internet Access from SBC
