Guest guest
Hi Chris, I was just making some shampoo for my fur babies to give to their friends for Christmas and remembered a couple of things that might be jof some help to you if you have not already figured them out. Liquid soap becomes so thick in the process ( paste method is the only one I use) of cooking, that if you don't add the Potassium Carbonate to it , it'll damn near break your spoon. LOL I add 2-2 1/2 ounces to my lye solution when I'm preparing it for the mix. I also keep a couple of ounces jof alcohol near by and when it's time to stir on that second and third times , I add a little of the alcohol to gest it to stir easier. HTH's. PS, I know you are adding some of that saved paste from the last batch to speed up the saponification process. Makes it almost like making cp soap.
