Univeristy types who had only heard me talk of Appalachia, my parents, etc. I was going to recommend it to my mother, cept for the lesbians in the movie, I would. I thought of that when I took my Dad, he said well " a couple of spinster schoolhouse teacher " , he never batted a eye. Then I realized the old expression he, my grand dad and my great grand dad, had always used rather than say lesbian. ( Remember thinkings as a child Miss whoever and Miss Atthetime never taught school.) Mom would just get up and leave the room and miss the whole point of the movie. Well you know her better than I, but it is rentable now so perhaps there could be a time. I love the song track and wore out one CD. Reckon I play it when I get home sick for the mountains. It is a most uplifting place to walk, lightens the spirit and the soul. The movie Songcatcher and the CD are the second best thing to walking a country mile in the mountains.
