Guest guest
Hi Carol - When we spent summers in Mexico with my mother's family my favorite shampoo was the egg shampoo they sold there. You buy shampoo in small packets. No name. Just a plain clear plastic pouch. One packet was good for one or two shampoos depending on how long your hair was. At the time they cost about US.20 a pop. Anyway, the store owners would always say it just had egg, olive oil and something for making it 'bubble' up. It was very thick and it didn't have a perfume smell. So you shampoo and then if you had the money you might put a drop of fragranced oil on a hair brush to brush your hair with after you had it pretty much towel dried. My aunts all had beautiful hair including the grays even if the rest of them aged rather quickly (life in rural Mexico can do that to a person). As soon as you mentioned the olive oil you brought back that memory to me. I thank you for that. I'd like to keep them unless they get ugly. Hi Dale, A drop of olive oil in your palm, rub together and lightly pat. Just read this today, don't know if it works....give me another 15 years or so for the grays to take over completely. Geeee, I can't wait. <;+ Carol
