Guest guest
Okay . you've cattle prodded me! :-D Considering that I wake up 3 times a night these days due to a baby kicking me in my bladder (which has been flattened to the size and shape of a pancake), and I also take nightmares of work to bed with me . I need something to help me rest more soundly in the limited time I do rest .. and I am out of Rose Otto .. SO I am going to place that Rose Otto order no later than tomorrow morning . and whoever doesn't get back to me that they wanted in on the buy .snoozed and loozed *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com Butch Owen [butchbsi] Thursday, November 07, 2002 8:20 PM Rose Otto Afore Bed Hey y'all, Lemme tell you about a new experience I've had with Turkish Rose Otto. I figured I had about covered all the bases in its use .. been sniffing it regularly since 1995 .. but this is a new one. In addition to dealing essential oils and such from here and my company in Maryland, I deal with international business matters through NSI, my Turkish company. Most of those I deal with are government bureaucrats and under the best of conditions, they are the worst of customers. ;-p Many times afore a tense meeting with hot shots from Turkish ministeries or those who think they're hot-shots from American government financed ventures .. where I need to remain cool and sell ideaa while controlling the desire to tell them what I really think of them .. I've sniffed from the gram of Turkish Rose Otto I carry in my pocket a few minutes before the meeting - and the effects were always outstanding. If I've had a tough day and am tense when I finally get home .. which is a norm unless I've had a few beers, I take tomorrow's work home with me. Nothing new about this .. been doing it for years. And often, tomorrow seems to dominate my dreams .. I might get up in the middle of the night and make notes on a pad I keep near my bed. In the past I used Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) to mellow out afore sleeping (don't try this with Lavandula stoechas .. though its far more antimicrobial than the L. angustifolia, its not a relaxing oil .. its a stimulant) .. I sniffed a bit of the Lavender afore hitting the sack .. sometimes put a drop or two on the corner of the pillow. And it worked .. most of the time. Sometimes, I'd be so drawn out that even though I was physically and mentally exhausted, I'd have difficulty fading into that area of deep sleep. Sometimes I'd start to cross that bridge then jerk awake and deal with some issue coming up the next day. Its cold here in Ankara now and I like sleeping in a cold room .. under an antique Norweigan Eider Down comforter. Often, I'd wake up with my pillow soaking wet with sweat .. it was NOT from being overheated or from fighting off some bug. Sometimes I'd cross the bridge to a deep sleep and then jump up when I heard weird things that weren't there. Some might think I was going nuts .. but its something I'd lived with for years .. nobody can stay nuts that long and still be successful in responsible positions. Basically, I was sorta tense methinks. ;-p A week or so ago, I tried something different .. and to date, it works EVERY TIME - for me. Maybe 2 or 3 minutes afore hitting the sack, I sniff that gram of Rose Otto .. direct from the bottle .. for maybe 30 seconds. That's the only thing I'm doing differently from the previous weeks .. life in general has not changed and the day-to-day activities have not let up, but I'm getting a much more restful sleep than I have in the past. I don't wake up feeling tired .. though I used to. Before, it mattered not if I slept 8-9 hours .. which I often did on weekends, I'd still wake up feeling tired. Now I can sleep 5-6 hours and feel rested in the morning. :-P Anyhow .. that's my testimonial. Those of you are presently holding some Rose Otto and might also be experiencing problems similar to those I describe above might wanna try it and see what it does for you. Y'all keep smiling, Butch http://www.AV-AT.com PS: Hey Effie .. glad your hair smells great when you wake up. It would take someone with a great imagination to say that about me cause there ain't that much hair to sniff. ;-p As for the skeeters .. those of you who are fortunate enough to live in areas where its still warm enough for skeeters to be lurking might wanna consider trying some of my Catnip EO .. I tried it out in the US on this trip and it works finer'n frog hair. Being as this is Thursday, gonna send y'all some info on it in a minute or two. > Hi Sandi: > > Your are right on with the rose otto. Guest guest
Hey y'Butch, That does it, I'm packing my Rose Otto to take to the hospital. I was going to do lavender but you changed my mind. Heck maybe I'll take both. As for your jumping up in the middle of the night, it's a cop thing. My husband and I both still do that (both being retired from the job). Later, Carol in Idaho , Butch Owen <butchbsi@s...> wrote: > > Lemme tell you about a new experience I've had with Turkish Rose Otto. > In the past I used Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) to mellow out afore sleeping. > Often, I'd wake up with my pillow soaking wet with sweat .. it was NOT from being overheated or from fighting off some bug.
