The schools always DO take a different view. Me, I just sign a paper saying it's against my religion sort of thing. They leave me alone now, but before I signed that thing, the pressure was tERRIFIC. It was actually the principal who told me how to go about it. I was worried that if I signed that paper and something happened to my kids they wouldn't get the treatment they needed. That won't happen because of the Emergency card you fill out for each kid... Anyway, no regrets here! Cheers! Guest guest Posted November 4, 2002 Report Share Posted November 4, 2002 Our experiance with immunization was not a pleasant one, our son had extreme adverse reaction. The doctor said he, nor any of our children were to ever receive immunization and gave a letter stating so. However, the schools take a different view so..... not advacating that you do this, this is what we did to allow our children into public school w/o the hassle. I got immunization record books from the county health nurse (she gave all shots in our area in Wyoming), I filled in all appropriate shots for each age group. These records were accepted by the school. We have done same for our grandchildren and so far, the records have been accepted. Our children and grandchildren were healthy, never contracted anything other than the normal cold/flu bug that most kids contract via classmates. All in all, the decision we made on immunization (or not to immunize and to doctor records) was the correct one for us.
