Guest guest
Hi Sandy, Since soap is not a leave on product you will not have the " tingle " sensation. I does make a very nice wake up bar of soap. It is pretty strong in soap so doesn't take much. I use about an ounce in a seven pound batch and it is very nice. So maybe try 1/2 oz for 3 lbs..... If I were to add the herb then I would grind it very fine, it makes a nice " eye presentation " . Have found larger pieces to be to abrasive on the skin, but I am sort of sensitive that way. Good luck and happy soaping! Guest guest
My experience is different than Margaret's. Even toothpaste which has mint in it will leave a slight tingle, as does my cp soap, although not much. I use .5 oz. of peppermint per pound of oil. Your combo sounds very interesting. I do agree with Margaret that leaving whole pieces of peppermint in the soap is not very attractive. Grind it very fine as she suggests. Guest guest
Peppermint does make your skin tingle. It is nice in soap! Of course you do not want to over do it but I used make a soap with peppermint eo and that is all, and man it sold out every time. People love peppermint in the shower in the morning, especially guys who do not want to smell like patchouli or rose. Add a liitle rhassoul powder, oatmeal powder or some other rich grain like fine ground flax and you have something special. The reason you want to grind the oats is because they get super hard in the soap and scratch. ana , Sandy Fields <diamonique@c...> wrote: > Hello all! > > I just made a massage oil recipe that called for equal parts cinnamon leaf > and peppermint eo's.
