Rose EO - gel?

Hi, all. I picked up a tiny vial of rose oil at the NAHA show, but

when I went to try some I found it had turned to a gel-like form.

The bottle (small as it was) looked empty at first, and with that

price tag, I was about to flip, but then I could see there was a

substance in there that looked like an EO that had dehydrated. The

vial isn't full by any means, but I would like to get whatever I can

out of it. Any suggestions? Is this common with rose oil or did I

just get a bad batch?

Thanks,

Sara

Ah-hah! I didn't know you meant just warm it a LITTLE, Ann!

I found a reference in a perfumery book that says rose otto is semi-

solid at room temp but 'liquefies with the slightest warmth.' Sure

enough, I held my vial in my hand for about 2 minutes and it is now

a full bottle of liquid rose!!

I'm so happy! Live and learn, right?
