Guest guest
I've just joined. Here's a little medical history of me before I ask what types of herbs to use. I have Graves Disease and taking levothryoid every day and taking anetolol for heart palpations for when I need it. For the past two years I've became more nervous. I sometimes get these attacks. Depending the situations it can be mild to feeling like I'm suffocating. I don't have any pain but feeling like I can't breath. Here's what I feel, gasping for air, feel like suffocating, shaking, very bad tension in neck and shoulders. I feel this way basically when I am feeling the center of attention for people are focusing on me. Example speaking infront a big group, talking with someone with authority, like a boss or sometimes with people I don't know. It's to the point I will avoide certains things so that I won't get these attacks. I've talked with my doc and he's trying to adjust my dosage to levothroid. But I just can't wait for another 3-4months. I'd like to know if there is anything for anxiety feelings and also someone noticed that I have " tremors " . I noticed when I do get nervous my head shakes from side to side and at some points I feel like my head is going crooked. Now I'm even more conscouis about it! Any suggestions of herbs to take that won't interfere with me taking levothroid for Graves Disease? Any replys are greatly appreciated. lelakumi
Guest guest
Hi Lelakumi, You mught want to look into Bach flower essences. They have no side effects and don't interfere with anything else you take. Read about aspen, cherry plum, larch, mimulus, rock rose, star of bethlehem, even rescue remedy. They all have to do with anxiety or fears of one sort or another. You just need to find out which seem right for you. You can combine up to 3 at once, but if you do more than that you won't really know what is working. Here is a link to flower essence info with links to more specific info: http://www.bodyhealthcenter.com/altmed/floweressences.shtml If you have any questions, let me know. I have had the most wonderful experiences with flower essences. Debbie deb Look! Healthy baby products http://www.bodyhealthcenter.com/products/bhc/bhbaby.shtml > I've just joined. Guest guest
I have found lavender essential oil to be extremely calming to me. I have always loved the scent, but I can use lavender cream before bed when I'm feeling " wired " or upset, and find it helps me immensely. I don't know that it would help with all your situations - but it couldn't hurt anything to try! Others on this list know much more about these things than I, though, and if I were in your position I would certainly try things that they may suggest. Hope you find some relief - soon, and naturally! Jonee > " lelakumi " <lelakumi> wrote: > For the past two years I've became more nervous. I sometimes get > these attacks. Guest guest
Hi Debbie, Thank you so much for your reply. In fact I have taken rescue remedy spray and it seems to help a little bit. I will check out more into the site. lelakumi , " Debra McDuffee " <deb@b...> wrote: > Hi Lelakumi, > You mught want to look into Bach flower essences.
