Guest guest
Hi all, I was/am considering doing a trade show come the end of November, the Christmas trade, ya know. WELL!!! I just found out it costs a minimum of $200.00 to be an exhibitor. My question is: have any of you done something like this, and is it REALLY worth the money? Cheers! Guest guest
Thank you for that! I've been told by a few people that 200 bucks is NOTHING! Well, I'm still having a heart attack about it, I'm not used to paying more that $25.00 in local craft show fees! LOL Cheers Kathleen Petrides The Woobey Queen: Woobey tip: Feet tired from walking and standing all day. Relax them with Hot and Cold Woobeys! Alternating the two will be better for your feet! http://www.woobeys.com
Guest guest
Well now. I've done them over here, in fact will be at one next weekend. I'd think that a Trade show in November is too late for the Christmas trade because you'll only be taking orders won't you? Shops will already be stocked up with their Christmas stuff by then. My stand is going to cost about £500 for 4 days. It's 4 metres long and a metre deep. Most times it's worth the money, maybe not on the day but with the orders that come in later and with being able to display new goods (I'm talking cross stitch designs here) Don't know if that's helpful Regards Ann - Scotland ps will look out scone recipe over the weekend. - WoobeyQueen Friday, September 06, 2002 9:01 PM Trade Shows Hi all, I was/am considering doing a trade show come the end of November, the Christmas trade, ya know. Guest guest
Sounds like a reasonable rate considering the possibility you may make thousands of dollars in business, depending on where the trade show is going to be, who else is going to have booths there, etc. I used to be in the landscape/nursery business and we'd go to trade shows occasionally just to book plants in advance. We didn't have a booth, but many of our suppliers did. To them, doing trade shows was a given. --k - <WoobeyQueen Friday, September 06, 2002 1:01 PM Trade Shows > Hi all, > > I was/am considering doing a trade show come the end of November, the > Christmas trade, ya know. > > WELL!!! Guest guest
I would pay that in a heartbeat DEPENDING on the type of show, attendence, # of days, and what kind of promotion is done for the show. I used to do some pretty large Christmas shows (when I did dried floral things), and paid much more for a booth, but the shows were long, and VERY well attended. Guest guest
Hi there, The trade shows we're involved in have to do with weddings. Normally we pay anything from $700 to $1000 for a booth that's up for a 2-3 trade show AND we get a page in the Bridal Book. As an exhibitor who has done really well and really poorly.... I recommend that you investigate the numbers of people who are going through (is it an established trade show?), what your competition like, do you have a marketable item. The look of the booth is also really important. We live in Hawaii and we sell artwork related to weddings....We normally give out time-limited coupons ($25-50 off) when they sign up for a free give away item. I get their addresses and e-mails and follow up later with all those folks. We pick up a few orders that way too. Hope this helps!!! Good luck! Su - who would rather be selling aromatherapy items!! > > > >Hi all, > > > >I was/am considering doing a trade show come the end of November, the > >Christmas trade, ya know. > > > >WELL!!!
