I'm glad to hear that everyone is okay. You might find yourself on the sore,

achy side when you get up today. Indulge in a relaxing bath it will help.

Give one to your son as well, it might not only help him feel better

physically, but in his heart as well.

Thank goodness you're okay. I do count my blessing everytime I make it home

safely after being on the road which is a lot. I see a lot of bad wrecks and

really stupid drivers. Sometimes it really amazes me what people do in and

with their cars.

Chris - I'm so glad to hear that you are all ok. Take care. It may take a

couple of days (or weeks) to shake that trauma out of your system. Wow!! It

took them so long to take care of all that legal stuff, yuck!!

Sending you lots of white light!!!

Aloha,

Su (who had her own almost-mishap with another pre-Labor Day weekend

driver!)

Dear Chris, So glad that you are all right. I have a VW and feel that it is

much

safer than the Geo I did have. You are living proof of that. I am sure your

cold is

over now and this will be over soon. Take it easy for the next few days and

give your

son extra hugs and kisses. Jan

Chris,

Glad to hear that all of you have no major injuries. This is the

very reason I drive a GMC YUKON now. My first car (still

have it too) was a Firebird TransAm 1979. In 1996 the same

thing happened to me. Driving an older car (more steel back

then) is what kept serious injuries from those of us in my car.

The other one a newer ford looked as if it had been in a demolation

derby. I did get mine fixed to be kept in the garage under a car cover;)

I like a little substance in my vehicles, I may be a safe driver but I'm

not the only one one the road.

I bet Sean was scared . Glad to hear no problems with

the growing baby ,yourself and Sean.

I'm sorry to hear about your accident, Chris - I'm so glad you all weren't hurt!

Ya know, it's sort of ironic - You're probably standing there, looking at a

smashed car, knowing you're going to have to pay for the repairs/replacement on

your own, since the other guy disappeared .... but at the same time, you're

thrilled - happy on the level of the *soul*... because you've survived, and your

children are OK.

Occurrences like that give us a new perspective. We can see with true clarity,

what's really important.

Glad you're OK. :)

Car Accident!

Howdy folks,

Well, this just 'aint my week. Right after picking my son up from

school, on our way home, my truck that I was driving was hit by a drunk

driver, in a stolen car, who fled the scene (and was thank goodness

caught). Still waiting to find out if he's in this country legally even!

That was at about 5:15PM Mountain time and we are JUST now finally home

(12:10AM Mountain). The accident was in a kooky jurisdiction area

between two cities and a county, so we had to wait for the State Trooper

to arrive to take the accident report, and then we had to go to the

hospital (thank heavens my son, the baby I am carrying and myself are

all ok, but we had to make sure). My poor Ford Explorer (who did a great

job keeping us safe) will be out of commission for goodness knows how

long, she has a lot of damage, but as long as she sustained the most

damage instead of us that's the good part of it all.

Well, I'm going to bed now, just remember folks, count your blessings,

wear your seat belts, and keep those little ones in their car seats!

Have a safe, happy holiday weekend!!!!!

*Hugs*

Hi Chris:

So sorry to hear about your accident. I also went through the drunk driver

part but when he tried to run, the people on the other side of the road at

the stop sign caught him. I was driving a Pontiac sedan (which was also

very heavy). Anyway he went through the stop sign, broad-sided me and got

the whole left side of my car. Do get an attorney and be sure you keep

track of everything.

I am VERY glad you, your son, and that baby you are carrying are all okay.

Vehicles can be fixed and just I wish they could 'fix' these drunk drivers

along with it.

Take care - blessings and love,

Effie
