Thanks Debbie! I've got clary sage & peppermint. And I've seen black cohosh tablets at the drugstore. I thought I could handle this, but it's getting pretty darn miserable. -- Sandy

They have a much higher % of the active soy ingredient than you would get from eating or drinking a lot of soyproducts. Soy is proven to lessen hot flashes and menopausal symptoms in general. Butch, I personally would recommend vitex the herb before vitex the oil. The herb has been used for centuries to regulate female systems, and the oil, well, the very fact it caused some women to return to menstruating after years of menopause puts it in the 'needs lots more research' category for me.http://member.newsguy.com/~herblady

Guest guest
Actually, my mum takes both of them. I didn't tell you about the soy the first time b/c it is so controversial and I didn't want to stir up anything huge! But if you decide to take the soy, make sure you take fish and/or flax oil and also kelp if you are worried about any of the negative side effects of soy. Guest guest
Yo Sandy, > >Have you read Barbara Lucks' Vitex Research Project? Lots of ladies > >using Vitex agnus castus now and it works for hot flashes .. and PMS. > > Assuming you have this available on your site, I'll be surfing over = > that way come Friday. I need all the relief I can get! Bad assumption .. ;-p You know .. I think I might be in the minority of those that don't have it .. its been published in hard copy and on the net and so forth .. but somehow, I was always sleeping. I guess I need to ask Barbara to send it to me. I'm working on getting some Vitex Hydrosol for her now .. not easy but not impossible. Means I gotta buy more oil to get the Hydrosol .. ;-p I've got Vitex Leaf .. cheapest in the USA cause I'm the source for dang near everybody selling it that we know .. its a naturally growing plant in Suthran Turkey .. low yield .. like 800 grams of oil per one metric ton of aromatic material. IF you are planning to shop for wholesale oils on that trip over to my site .. I recommend you wait a day or two cause I just sent Chris the NEW prices .. slashed big time .. but they are not on the site yet. Vitex price will remain as is as its half the cost of others already. > >Lots of folks praising it to include some in my office.
