Guest guest
Howdy folks and Happy Friday! I was coming down with a pretty icky sinus infection yesterday .. I felt the first tinglings of a cold coming on Wednesday actually, but yesterday I was downright sick! Being pregnant I really can't take a lot of the stuff I normally would either, so I had to improvise. Here's what I did: I began taking Gary Null's Vitamin C powder with bioflavanoids 3 times a day. Also I tried to keep my fluid intake up. I rested as much as possible too. For lunch and dinner I had some homemade chicken noodle soup (or Jewish Penicillin as we called it back home in NYC with a drop of oregano oil added to the bowl I had at suppertime. Then a bit later on in the evening I ordered a bowl of Chinese hot and sour soup, requesting it extra hot, and then added Tabasco sauce to it (enough to make my lips VERY tingly while eating it and for 10 minutes after my last bite). Also I made an aromatherapy blend of Lavender, Sage, Oregano, Eucalyptus and Rosemary (yes, Rosemary IS safe for pregnant ladies to sniff despite quite a bit of BS you may have read to the contrary). I put a few drops of that on the shower floor when I took my nice hot steamy shower to help disperse the oil vapors in the steam. Then I also put a drop of that on a tissue and stuffed it into my pillow for when I went to sleep. This morning I feel SOOO much better. I'm not quite 100% yet, but instead of this being day #2 of feeling rather ill and getting worse, I am pretty much over my cold. Also after just one day there are no signs of infection taking hold (clear mucous and a LOT less of it too!). Now I'll do much of the same stuff today that I did yesterday just to knock this out of my system totally, but I can tell I'm out of the woods so to speak :-) I just wanted to share my " success story " . Have a great weekend folks! *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com
