Guest guest
Also, my doctor (an anthroposophic MD) recommends that to help promote healthy liver function: Eat proteins and savory foods early in the day and avoid eating sweets of any kind (including fruits) until after 3 PM. Also eat fermented and sour foods: such as miso, pickles (the ones made without vinegar), Kim Chi, sourdough breads, Rejuvenate Foods brand Live Zing Salad (a shredded salad with pickled beets), etc .. *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com Debra McDuffee [deb] Thursday, August 08, 2002 7:14 PM foods for the liver To stimulate the liver out of stagnation: - onion family - mustard greens - tumeric - basil - bay leaf - cardamom - cumin - fennel - dill - ginger - black pepper - horse radish - rosemary - mint - lemon balm - angelica root (dong quai) - prickly ash bark - beets - taro root - sweet rice - amasake - strawberry - peach - cherry - chestnut - pine nut - cabbage - turnip root - kohlrabi - cauliflower - broccoli - brussel sprouts To detoxify the liver: - mung beans - celery - kelp - rhubarb root or stem - radish - daikon radish To Rejuvenate the liver: - wheat or barley grass - spirulina - chlorella - parsley - kale - watercress - alfalfa - collard greens Debbie deb sign up for our healthy newsletter http://www.bodyhealthcenter.com/newsletter.shtml
Guest guest
Thank you Debra and Chris for the diet reccommendations. That's another big help right there, because we never know what he should eat and he complains that his diet is to bland. This will give alot of variety. Thanks again, Lynn
