Guest guest
Due to the EXTREME heat wave we're having in my part of Colorado .. ALL shipments are being delayed until tomorrow morning. That is when they are forecasting a significant break in these temperatures. Because of the nature of most of the products I sell (potentially susceptible to damages from the 100+ degree temperatures) I do not want to take chances with anyone's orders. I am still processing the orders and sending shipment notifications and tracking numbers today though :-) Thank you for your understanding. Keep cool and stay hydrated in your neck of the woods folks! *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com

Guest guest
Hi Ann :-) It just seems like every time I ship stuff out on days that are 100 degrees F plus in my area I get lots of customers who contact me about problems with their shipments. I've had everything from warped candles and soaps to exploded bottles of essential oils! I think its cause when they load up the shipping trucks/planes the parcels end up getting overheated in the sun while on the pallets waiting to be loaded or something . dunno for sure though, so I just try not to ship on extreme heat days like that. Today it hit 105 degrees Fahrenheit here ... that's about 41 degrees Celsius .. a scorcher for sure .. but it looks like major relief is in sight for tomorrow and " the show will go on " ! I hope it is MUCH cooler right now in Scotland . and wetter too ... I haven't seen a real significant rain here in months it seems (and I'm not exaggerating!) *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com Ann Thorpe [Ann] Wednesday, July 31, 2002 2:50 PM Re: Heat Related Shipping Alert! Guest guest
It's strange weather here this summer. Lots of rain - even for Scotland! The last few days have been warm - 19 - 22C but quite airless and the rain was so heavy the other night that there were flooded roads and lots of folk flooded out of their houses. What a topsy turvy world it is! Regards Ann - Scotland
