AD: Wholesale Prices Slashed at Anatolian Treasures

Following is an introduction to my company. It might contain more info

than you want but not more than I want to provide because telling it all

the first time precludes me from having to answer questions later.. ;-P

 

All information on my company is obtained via email and my websites. I

do not produce hard-copy catalogues because:

 

1. My offerings change too often.

2. I have customers in 50 US States and 36 other countries.

3. I could never keep my customers updated by depending on Snail Mail.

4. I love trees .. why cut them for more useless paper and garbage?

 

WHO IS BUTCH OWEN? I'm a retired US Army Military Police Officer who

entered this business because I saw a great vacuum in quality. At first

I dealt only in bulk oils from Turkey with a minimum order of 100 kilos,

but many folks wanted to purchase my oils in smaller volume so I opened

a wholesale/retail company in the USA - Friendsville, Maryland, and now

we sell oils from around the world to customers throughout the world. I

live in Ankara, Turkey and travel back and forth to Maryland.

 

MY COMPANY: My Trademark Brand is " Anatolian Treasures, " sold from my

company in Maryland, USA .. Appalachian Valley Natural Products.

 

OUR CUSTOMERS: They are in 50 US states and 36 other countries .. and

steadily increasing. Appalachian Valley Natural products recently moved

to a larger facility and we will open a second shop, a walk-in store, in

late July 2002. We are sorta new .. we just celebrated two years in the

retail/wholesale business on 15 September 2001. Prior to that I dealt

only in bulk products - direct export from here in Turkey with a minimum

order of 100 kilograms of oil.

 

QUALITY OF ESSENTIAL OILS OFFERED: I deal only in Aromatherapy Grade

Essential Oils .. they must be pure and quality. There's a difference

between purity and quality ... an EO can be a pure but mediocre oil ..

just as two cooks can start out with pure ingredients but one makes a

soup with those pure ingredients that you can't tolerate .. ;-)

 

My oils are natural, unadulterated, not manipulated in any manner and my

analysis tests prove that the chemical profiles are well within that

range we consider as having optimum value from a therapeutic standpoint.

 

Upon request of a buyer, I will provide Lot Number controlled GC/MS for

any oil purchased. The Lot Number on the bottle matches the Lot Number

of the analysis.

 

I have direct contact with distillers in many countries and I visit them

from time to time. I contract distillion here in Turkey but I sell more

than Turkish oils. I pay to have ALL oils tested .. including my own.

 

ROSE HYDROSOL: We are THE source for Turkish Rose Hydrosol/Hydrolate -

I bought the ENTIRE CROP of the Turkish Rose Growers Association in 2001

- a bit over two metric tons .. 4,410 pounds .. around 551 gallons.

 

MY CLAIM: Except for Rose Otto and Oreganos, I would never claim to

have the best of ALL oils in the world .. but I have the best that I can

find in the world .. and I believe that one might find some oils with

the SAME quality as mine .. but not higher quality. We can find an oil

from time to time that will please our olfactory senses more than other

oils .. but unless we have the oil analyized, we can't know if it was

manipulated in a laboratory to increase the olfactory value .. it might

not be natural because ALL oils will NOT smell sweet and nice.

 

I believe and others agree that I have the BEST Rose Otto, Rose Hydrosol

and Origanums in the world. I live in the country that is THE SOURCE for

these two natural products.

 

PURCHASE REQUIREMENTS: There is no minimum purchase. Making folks buy

what they don't want in order to get what they do want is not a good way

to win their hearts and minds - and future business .. ;-p

 

However, I also offer direct export, Turkish origin oils and there are

obviously minimums on these oils.

 

SHIPPING COST: We charge only ACTUAL cost - there are no handling fees

or other fees. We DO NOT use ballpark calculations to determine the

shipping ... customers pay EXACTLY the price we pay.

 

We have a MAJOR discount with FedEx International and FedEx Ground, and

we pass this savings on to our customers.

 

INSURANCE: I don't ask customers to pay for insurance .. to insure or

not is my decision and my responsibility. Buyers are not paying me

to drop their goods in the mail and forget it .. they are paying me to

get them into their hands. I must choose to self-insure or purchase

insurance but its NOT (in my opinion) a buyer's responsibility to pay

extra to ensure they receive what they paid for in the first place.

 

PACKING: We keep weight down while ensuring the products arrive without

damage. For wholesale orders, we do this with special packing - each of

the 4 oz, 8 oz or 16 bottles of wholesale EO is packed in a specially

constructed, light in weight but strong, styrofoam container designed to

fit the bottle. The styrofoam containers are then wrapped in bubble

wrap. This eliminates the need for heavy packing materials, provides

extra-protection against breakage and temperature-control for the EO.

 

TESTING: We test ALL oils .. for purity and quality as they are not the

same thing. There are many pure but mediocre oils around that should be

classified as Commercial Grade - we offer only Aromatherapy Grade oils.

Our analysis tests are Lot Number Controlled .. a numerical system is

entered on the oil labels and on the analysis so our quality assurance

is coordinated. Any buyer asking for a copy of the GC or GC/MS for oils

they purchase may have it - free!

 

PRICING: We operate on a philosophy of low-profit margin but very high

volume of sales - and it works! I know that if customers are satisfied

and feel that I've given them more for their money than another seller

might give - and more than they might have expected to get ... they'll

do business with me again in the future. The key to true long-term

business success is to keep your customers smiling. :-)

Retail .. its automated .. or you can just write me an email.

 

Wholesale .. See something you need on the Wholesale List, tell me and

we'll make it happen. I don't have it automated yet so orders are sent

to me by email. I confirm the order and return the email to the buyer.

 

If buyers want to speed things up, they can include their credit card

information with the order. Buyers in the USA can pay by CC, check or

money order .. for International orders, we accept only credit cards.

Due to a continued increase in sales .. which has allowed AVNP to grow

and increase cash flow, I'm now able to purchase my oils in much larger

quantities than before .. which obviously lowers my cost per kilogram.

Accordingly, and in line with my philosophy of a high volume of sales

and a low profit-margin, I'm passing along the savings to our customers.

I've learned that reducing prices does not decrease profits .. in fact

it increases profits .. just takes you longer to get there .. ;-p

 

These prices are NOT posted to the website yet because my Web Maintainer

has been moving .. ;-p If you have not already received them off-line,

you gotta write me and ask for them.

 

Some prices slashed as much as FIFTY PERCENT!!! Large bulk purchases

allowed this to happen. Of course, there's a big investment there.

Our EOs are quality controlled by Lot Numbers matching the GC or GC/MS

analysis for that EO. If you want a free copy of the analysis for oils

you purchase .. you just have to ask.

 

Our Hydrosols are analyzed every 90 days to ensure no contamination.

The last analysis was conducted by Superior Laboratories, Inc., which

has EPA and USDA Accrediation, located at 2514 Billingsley Rd, Columbus,

OH, (614) 793-8778 .. on 18 April 2002.
