Hello all

My daughter's pregnancy is going well at the moment (thanks for all your

thoughts) but she is having terrible sickness. Not just a feeling of nausea in

the mornings, but more or less all day, and often can't face eating, and often

actually being sick, not just feeling sick.

Some suggestions please from those of you who have recently been there! or can

remember further back, would be appreciated

Regards

Hi Ann,

I'm no help with this one. I had morning, noon and night sickness for 3

months with my son. Hate to say it but nothing helped that out for me

except the departure of my first trimester and the arrival of the second

trimester. It was so bad I used to drink berry smoothies for lunch just

cause it'd taste good coming back up (which inevitably all meals would ; ).

They told me that severe morning sickness is the sign of a strong,

healthy pregnancy .. may the " old wives tales " be correct!

Big (gentle) hugs to her!

*Hugs*

Chris

Good morning Ann:

I can certainly feel for your daughter cuz with my second one I was sick the

whole time. Had to have surgery when I was about 3 months and was sick,

sick the rest of the pregnancy. This being many years ago, I do remember

eating soda crackers before I ever got out of bed, but can't remember if it

helped or not. So sorry she is having such a problem. Tell her to hang in

there--it is temporary and worth it.

Blessings and love,

Effie

Hugs to your daughter. I was a fortunate one who didn't have morning

sickness, but my friends who did swore by " sea bands " they are the bands you

put on your wrist to combat motion sickness. Also ginger seemed to help

calm her tummy. I wish your daughter a happy and healthy pregnancy!

I did this too recently. It did help and I also kept a little can of pink

grapefruit juice to sip on. Weird, but a gal I worked with (native

american) told me about it, said it worked. It did for me. I nursed the

juice though. Tiny sips and more crackers than juice.

Hope she gets over that part real soon and has a very healthy pregnancy!
